£10,000 was vvv tempting. I think I'd have just about no dealt it though. Same with the £12,500.

I would also no deal this £12,500 too.

The banker denies this is a spanking, and says it's actually a stamping as Darren's a postman

Banker's offer would've been:

£125

Just got home from work and immediately put Deal or no Deal on which I taped earlier, the point I wish to make is, did anyone else notice the part when David opened his box to reveal £250,000 the editing wasn't quite right, and could be misconstrued as being a switch. :smt023 Cheers Glyn

Not the most memorable of games but I still enjoyed it. The offers were a lot better than I expected for someone who gave the impression the money was really important to him and had cautious tendencies. The third offer that he turned down was well over half the mean and dealable which was rare for that stage of the game, so I guess the banker did have to take him seriously. And full marks to the banker as well for the stick at 5-box in proveout (when the board absolutely warranted it) when Noel was all too busy trying to tell Darren he's blown it! :)

And then totally destroying it in round 6 was great to see!

Missed this one, but sounds like it was a good game for him :)

Interesting game, it's not unprecedented of course for a player to hit the top and bottom of the board in the same round but nonetheless i think that opening round will be remembered for some time.

Have to say when Darren dealt i felt there was one more round in it, guess i was neither right nor wrong there :!:

I do enjoy it when the open book players like Darren, the ones who are so open about what the money means to them manage to get a good result, There's just something so satisfying about a good result for those sort of players.

Certainly 3 offers worth some consideration from 11 box to 5 box. Dealing at 8 box for £12,500 with the mean just over £17k was cautious but there was logic in doing so.

I did think at the end the banker was going to deny him the banker spanking because of the 2 x £12,500 offers but it just turned out he was bantering with Darren.

Yep, a cautious deal, but by no means the wrong one, and ultimately turned out to be the perfect decision. He needed to keep the top 2 for any increase, and unless he made out he was prepared to go to the end, there wasn't going to be a dramatic increase for keeping the top 2 - maybe 20k, which would be a far more problematic decision than he made with potentially 4 high reds and the £500 in his box on the board. So for him, the right decision.
