It's easy to chase your losses, and the offer gave Pat room to do just that if she wanted to, but she didn't want to go home with a blue, and she duly didn't. Good safe play.

I wasn't really watching that in full (flicking between this and the golf) but I guess Pat will be remembered more for her record run of reds rather than her game. A great board early on but with offers poor enough not to make any no-deals exciting and a slow collapse to an all-blue finish if she hadn't got off the sinking ship at 5-box, I'd have gone all the way there as I'd have wanted £7-8k or so to consider dealing! It was the most dealabale offer there anyway, the board was way too good to take £16k at 11-box and too stable to deal £8k at 8-box.

Been an averaging week in all truth, no OPWs but no really bad games apart from Cath's and even that was only a small disaster as she got the highest blue, maybe they should have kept the birthday twists without the clown outfits! :)

Not a lot you can say about that, Looked to be a decent game up till the halfway mark then slowly disolved in the latter stages.

Even after taking out the £75k & £250K in the 4th round there was still room for recovery, sadly the following round proved just as damaging in it's own way.

There's a certain irony in the queen of the reds bringing a blue to the table, but that's the way the luck falls sometimes and there is some consolation in seeing Pat duck out of the game before it totally collapsed.

Yes, a game that promised so much early on - even a possible marriage proposal - yet failed to deliver in terms of the mega money. It seemed inevitable that Pat would have a low blue in her game after her record run of reds, but a lesson to not let weird quirks of probability affect your gameplay, and she duly didn't by cautiously but understandably opting out at £5k at 5-box. It was the lowest offer she had up to that point, but at least she avoided total disaster.

£50 has been on the table 3 times this week, but thankfully never won!

I remember that Ollie had a run of reds before his game including the £250,000 twice in the games before his and he only had 1p on the table.

I also thought that the boards at 11-box and 8-box were too strong to take the offers, with the 8-box one there were 4 figures higher than the offer so it wasn't unstable.
The banter about the possible marriage was funny.
On a positively note it's a random game and if it wasn't it wouldn't be on tv and that is one of the reasons why people like to watch the show. This game wasn't one of the most exciting ones but it still had some good parts in it.
