Poor old Lamin. I guess a trainwreck was to be expected sooner or later but for it to happen to a really nice guy who was playing to benefit others with no sign of any greed whatsoever is particualrly galling, especially after seeing Declan miss out on an all-power 5 finish with what i thought was quite a poor decision. That's the way the game goes though I guess. At least he took his misfortune pretty well - he was obviously disappointed but dignified.
I didn't think it would be either - the game seemed to be progressing quite slowly given the time but I expected it to be becuase he dealt early, as most people playing for charity are usually (understandably) quite cautious so indeed the third round was quite tense as I thought he's be out of the chair after a good round on a board that was fragile even from the opening offer. Once the QM went, and the following offer was a foricing £3k, I knew he was on the slippery slope.
And about the banker doubling box contents at the end of a trainwreck - has that failed every time he's made that offer? I know it did too with Claude and also Glen on New Years Day 08. I think Savvas got the higher amount at the end and got it doubled, and also Gabrielle from April 06, but I think that was after the boxes were opened IIRC.
