The boards haven't really helped this week either.

Margaret now and she asks if the banker can provide cushions for her stool... the banker phones and Rachael answers it. Vera offers her cushion to Margaret. Rachael says the banker will provide the finest cushions for Margaret

3 - Margaret - 1p :D

14 - Will - £10

11 - Shell - Noel calls a break

Boy she needed that 1p and £10!

Another one after the break and she's cruising!

Maybe so, but the eggs thing is one of the worst. I don't think the US version would do the eggs. It could have been done better.

You can guarantee that if the eggs had been the result of big wins, you'd have been saying how brilliant they were.

I agree that the eggs should really only be used as a means to improve the offers - similar to one of the birthday shows where a player got the chance to double his £50k deal (although the player's luck was bad that day).

I personally think it's one of the most thrilling; no guarantees like the usual twist of either the Banker looking in your box or getting an offer after each box in the final round.

Absolutely anything can happen with this twist; I predict Rachael will now hit one of the big three, and the eggs will come into play at 8-box...

Rachael says she wants to help out her mum and dad if she wins big.

11 - Shell - £50,000

Banker time

Noel's obviously not a Corrie fan then - Vera died ages ago on Corrie.

I thought it was the fact that she sounds (and has a vague resemblance to) that Deidre character.

Completely agree with Noel there, at least it was the lowest of the three...

Yes, exactly. For example, if you open a good egg, you get an offer after every box, but opening a bad egg means that the Banker gets to see the contents of your box. I believe this method has been used in the past for other special shows.

Banker's offer:

£6,500

If she deals, she has to open an egg at the end of the game. If she finds the good egg, the offer will be doubled to £13,000. If she hits a bad egg she stays at £6,500.

£8,666 expected value of the deal isn't enough for this board even though it's a 2 box game.

£6,500 with no penalty for dealing should the Good Egg remain undiscovered, this is the first real decision of the game...but imagine the scenario if both the £75,000 and £100,000 stayed...

Then again, they can both go :?

Okay, that's way better than an all-or-nothing gamble. That's the proper way to do it.

After the week we've had, it's not surprising she's giving quite a bit of thought to a slightly low for the board offer.
