I'd have dealt the £17,500 without any thought. The average is £22,000. It's a very generous offer, and one that has to be taken.

The only thing that might have me going on is the knowledge that later offers might be this generous. There's no guarantee of this, but even so, in this case I simply can't look past the fact that I'm getting offered close to the mean.

At this point however I'd be kicking myself for my deal. Still, I'd have no regrets, I have enough knowledge of maths and gambling to not be results oriented in a case like this.
