Anyone wishing Daniel could come back as an honorary box-opener? I certainly hope it doesn't go back to how it was before he was there (certainly summer/autumn '08 anyway).

Tom's game struggled to be exciting at any point due to the steady finding of the large numbers and the earlier offers being pretty rubbish, but at least an all-blue round just before 5-box got him something dealable, and great that he sold a low blue in his box and got out at just the right time. The momentum is still on the players' side after an excellent week.

Oh and lots of good comedy moments too especially with Aby (who I have to say I hardly noticed at first but I think she's well fit now) ;-)

I suppose it was too much to expect for the offers to be as good as the rest of the week but the 5 box offer was decent enough and the deal was sensible (and as it turns out, the right decision).

I wonder if DOND trivia could be a regular feature of the games whilst David is there (although the questions would have to be a bit more difficult than today's).

In essense, today's question wasn't particularly easy...it was only easy for us Deal nerds! :-D Millions were probably watching, thinking "How the f*** did he remember that?"

True. I was expecting him to follow up with how much she won or what was in her box.

He needs a question like: What was the 93rd player's 2nd offer?

Not by name it hasn't (although I wouldn't expect C4 to allow that).

I was nicely surprised when Noel asked me that question. "One of the show's biggest fans" maybe, but I don't remember much about the early days of the show. :eyes: Luckily I did remember Lynn though, and also knew how her game went if Noel had probed me further!

It was good to see lots of comedy banter in today's show - the wings certainly seem very lively at the moment.

To be honest, I couldn't tell you who played the rest of the first week.

A very pleasing OPW today. At 8 box it looked like we might have a blue win, refreshingly rare at the moment, but Tom dealt at the right time, I'm guessing Dan might have dealt at the some point in the game as well? Tom seemed like a really decent guy as well.

I wonder where the next Wakeyist is coming from? At least tomorrow we can assume that Noel won't be
talking so much about "having the courage to go all the way" but it only takes a Power 5 amount at the table and that can change very quickly!

Well somehow that managed to be an OPW. To be fair I didn't see it coming, but £8,000 was a reasonable offer.

Good entertainment and banter today, and a very nice link by David.

[Hopefully there won't be a long wait for another Tom on the wings (i don't mean me in particular, just in general..].

The trivia thing reminds me of when i started my current job - there about 6 of us who started on the same day, and there was a session where we were to introduce ourseleves to the head of the department - we all got asked to say something unusual about yourself, and I unwisely said I could name the player and the amount they won on Deal Or No Deal if you state a certain date!

So later my team leader who had internet access, looked on Wikipedia and asked me certain dates and I got them all right! One of them was Claudine and they were amazed when I knew the extra £31 she got! And they didn't get me with Gus £47.48 either!! :D

Hope you didn't forget the £42,000 in front of it... :P

The rest of the week's players were... oh I've forgotten who was second but he won £9,900... ah yes, Mark, then old lady Anita got a £33,000 OPW and said she was 'going to buy some bling' (!!), then Rachel got £25,000 from a board we chastised Kelsie for taking a better offer on, then Haleem got the first OBW by selling £35,000 for £18,500, and finally Oli won £5,000 from the box.

Nor me, for some reason i thought the first ever player was a man. i did see it though, i remember i was between jobs at the time, that's how i got addicted. Anyway well done to David for remembering.

And well done to Tom. Not the most exciting or spectacular of games but far from the the trainwreck i was expecting given his bad luck. Think given his luck i would have taken that £8k myself though that board did look tempting, As it turned out, not just the right decision but the perfect bailout point.
Excellent result

Yay, two Epic Wins in a row :D ! I tell you, this could be the start of something wonderful :) .

Congrats to Tom, and enjoy £8,000 :D ! Very well played!

Oh, and it's good to see that you're having fun too, H :D ! It was great how you got those questions right, and how Noel had you do the break link. Keep up the good work :smt023 !
