I see Del's recognised the 'Wakeyist spin' of holding the necklace, and that Alfonso has recognised that using it early is a viable safety-first procedure. Expect him to use it for a 7-box or 6-box offer - which is probably the smart conservative move, given the expectation to play on to 8-box, and the opprobrium heaped on those who defy this expectation.

Well, he came for twenty grand. Fair enough. And that's only worth even the tiniest footnotes in the annals of DoND mistakes because of the fact that it could have been a one-to-open round...

And with Box 1 containing a big-money sum, Alfonso would now be either loss-cutting or loss-chasing. I would be playing on without Box 1, and hopefully to leave £250k as well as £100k and earning a highly generous offer which I then Dealt! (I'd want £45k in that situation without the £35k, or at least £55k with it, to Deal with a three-box offer to come.)

£12,000 would have been sickening...so I'd have gone on there!
