Now this is where high blue really make a difference - I'd deal £4,500 if they were all banker's power 5, but those three are good consolation against £4,500....

Ty says the banker's a stinker!! She says she could do a degree with £20k but couldn't with £4,500. Her mum comes down to the pound table...

Ty says DEAL

I'd have Dealt £4,500 to avoid the 30% chance of disaster - and would probably have got, and accepted, a Banker's Gamble here...

Ty, of course, does the exact opposite to me.

Well, that was a relief but she dealt and got a moderate Victory :)

Good show today - I was impressed by her composure to be honest, and plenty of good comedy moments from the wings. I thought she was brave no-dealing the third offer when the banker stuck after a pretty awful all-red round, especially with a 7:4 split the wrong way and thought the banker would have to offer huge if she had a good round from there. Sadly she took out a big one every round, and the banker did well in predicting she wouldn't take the all-or peanuts gamble.

Still she seemed really happy with £4,500 and why not, it's an awful lot better than what was in her box!! :D

Sums it up perfectly. The order the money comes out is crucial to get good offers. Think of Debbies Start. It was awful, but if the big ones are going to go, early is best. You get punished later on.

Phew!! I've calmed down now and am ready with some confessions! This game was made easier for me as I knew a) that she dealt at 2-box b) that she had £100 in her box. Also based on things I'd heard about how she has spent the money my guess was £5K

What WE were told was that she nearly dealt at 5-box but that her mum persuaded her not to (that must have been edited out) and that the offer at 2-box was "a bit less". Naughty Ty telling us fibs!!

But I am pleased with the result and utterly utterly thrilled to see our beautiful and confident young lady up there on national TV. I'm not a stats-lady. I watch DOND for the entertainment it brings. Ty gave us that in spades!! She ROCKS :smt023
