There are groans from the pilgrims for that offer... Len tells Kate to ask the Banker for a little bit more, and Kate asks Noel if they can negotiate. Noel tells her she has to be careful as a few people have got an increase, but a few have also had their offers reduced! The Banker calls and says that Noel is right, and he could go either way, but Kate would still like a word with him. She tells him that she has found her gambling streak and the average is around £50,000, so she would really like around £25,000.

The Banker says he will guarantee to increase the offer, BUT Kate will have to DEAL it! Kate says that is interesting.

Noel writes the new figure in the book but doesn't show anyone, so now the Banker can't change his mind on the offer.

Kate says

DEAL to the Banker's mystery offer

Noel won't reveal what the offer is that Kate has agreed to until he has played out the game and opened the remaining boxes!

There was a 100k recently, they don't come often. but £17,500 isn't too bad, especially when there is a fiver

That was THE most Banana Sandwich ever. Why did she deal? She knew the average, and he was no-where near going to offer the average she knew too well. I was looking for £35,000 there so I would've got £100,000.

Here is the thing, she would have likely swapped for box 4 if the banker were to have offered a swap and would have won a fiver had she gone on.

That was such a great game! Kate was brilliant and brought a fantastic atmosphere to the show! To go on at 5-box was brave because £8,000 is a huge amount of money! So glad it payed off for her and to get £20,000 out of the most unusual circumstances was great! Rather deal an offer you know is greater than £17,500 then risk going away with £5! (in my books anyways)!

Great game and Good result! £20,000 is a shed load of money! And i hope Kate enjoys every penny of it! :-D

Agreed, surely she should have known he would not be going up by much...I would say old favourite 26k at the most

NO DEAL!!!

but is that it "should've been around £31,000-£37,000" for you??? Don't forget The Banker plays with the contestant and not just the board.

If you was playing the game for real today, then you wouldn't had an offer no where near above £30,000 for a £5 Vs £100,000 final two. The offers the old man made at the final two (£17,500) then afterwards as the mystery offer (£20,000) are right. Remember you will not see offers to suit some people as he has got his trend with the offers spot on and you will need to readjust.

I have a feeling we'll see more with The Banker's Mystery Offer. Those who follow the show worldwide will have know than the Italian version, Affari Tuoi does something similar where The Banker and the contestant doesn't know two random amounts on the board. So it's like that but switched around so contestant doesn't know the offer.

I find it hard to criticise a player who got to 2 box having made some brave ND's along the way.

£17,500 was a poor offer but it's an awfully large amount to gamble on a coin flip.

I suppose it's at least the third time this year the banker has tried to force someone on with a poor offer late in the game but the downside is that it encourages early deals as what's the point of a brave ND if it's not going to be rewarded with decent offers.

The usual offers for 100K + a blue are around 19K, so the £17,500 wasn't too bad. In her situation that was probably too much to turn down.

Loved the show, especially the £88 gag!
