Mark says he is still relaxed, and Noel replies that he is the only one! Noel asks how £15,000 feels at this moment, and then asks about £19,000... Mark says he is still not convinced... Noel then asks about £21,000, but Mark still doesn't bite...

Banker's offer:

£24,000

Thought "old faithful" would have come up as an offer there

£24k is a bit more than I would have expected, especially with the £15k going.

With his financial situation - he'd be crazy to gamble now.

Mark says he really wants to go for it... Kate tells Mark that if he takes the £24,000 but later finds he had the £250,000, then he still has a silver lining of £24,000. Mark says things have been really bad this year, and he did his books recently and he has only earned £4,000... He then thinks about Lauren's and Ellen's games, but also he talks about Alex... He gets his wife to join him at the pound table.

Mark says

DEAL

Noel opens box 18 and reveals £5,000

Box 22 with Eddie contains the £10

What an incredible game says Noel... Mark says he is over the moon with that result.

Thank goodness his financial situation won over any tendencies of going all the way to the end. The 8 box offer was certainly very generous and he was sensible enough to take it.
