Afternoon all - hope everyone has had a brilliant Christmas!

Another plug for last year's viewings rating being so high last Christmas.

This year's third, and last Christmas Star is John Newcombe. After spending most of his own childhood in care, he has since devoted his life to fostering and caring for children, now for over 30 years.

John makes his way to the Crazy Chair surrounded by massive cheers!

He's feeling really humble after seeing all the people he's cared for give such nice comments about him in the VT.

He's brought a small box with him which will hopefully guide him to a good game. He also has a piece of jewellery made from several rings which don't fit him anymore.

He isn't a gambler, but he's here to give the Banker a good run for his money!

At the end of this game, hopefully he'll have a lot of money to give to his family, maybe even buy his own home. He'd also love to sleep in a wigwam!

As a Christmas Star, John gets to choose his own box...and he selects box 4, which Joe has; he is a neighbour of his whom he shares a good friendship with. He's chosen 4 as that is how many daughters he has.

John says he'd like to take him down the rugby park, make him do the Zulu Warrior with him, and then take him for a lot of money!

He didn't like the £10; as Ria's box was dire (diarrhoea! )
