In this game that passes for a magnificent recovery. Suppose a deal is justified but personally it would be a 'what the hell' moment.

....and I'd have won a fiver....

After having so many reds and so many big amounts, I just knew she would win a blue!

Just shows you how disgraceful the bag of balls have been this year, this one is going into the Incinerator food :smt009 :smt011

Classic case of very generous offers that were never going to be taken, I'd have gone at £1,500 on a purely mathematical sense but I may well have autopiloted to at least £1,650 if not £2,100.

Remember the 90s, when a holiday to Barcelona would be a decent daytime game show prize in itself?

And that is farewell to yet another beautiful young lady

Not a good game money-wise, but may I just say Sam has my total respect for what she has been through in her life and being such a fighter against impossible odds

Enjoy Barcelona, Sam, and all the best for a happy and propserous future with your husband

Indeed, and I think Sam does too!

It was such a shame to see the £5 revealed - think it's the first anti-power 5 win we've had in a while - but at least Sam took it pretty well. She's clearly been through worse things, and she's more positive for it. All power to her :smt023

I've noticed that Wakeyism's kicked off all 5 special weeks this year (Viv in Love week, Tom in Banker's birthday [he dealt at 3 box but declined generous offers early in the game], Derek in Summer Specials, Whitey in Trick and Treat [dealt two-box after no-dealing generous 4-box and 3-box offers] and Sam today). Viv, Tom, Whitey and Sam all had fairly long runs, anyone think the producers were saving them for the specials?

I really liked Sam and wanted her to get the £5,000. Shame she didn't...

That and the early 2000s. Monkhouse Wipeout (currently repeating on Challenge) had European cities as the main prize right to the final series in 2001 and daytime Catchphrase did the same in 2002.

It's not the first time somebody has been on for ages only to end with a few quid.

Actually Mark, I thought it would be Incinerator Food, because she won less than £100 :(

No she didn't, the holiday's worth a lot more than that ;)
