Luckily, I advoided most of this thread until the end. :-D

I do wonder if Endemol UK will ever place a C&D on the in game spoilers thread itself???

Banker thought he had her on the ropes and he was the one who got plucked and stuffed, he underestimated her like he did with Laura :D

Enjoy every penny of the 75k, Keran

The only way her and Betty's games are going to be beaten for game of the year is if someone else scoops the £250k before December 31st

Hall of fame beckons for 9 consecutive blues and also the 3 blue rounds in a row and a nice sum of £75k as well, not a bad day's viewing at all

You know what i just remembered, there was a quiz on the Offical Deal or No Deal bebo and one of the questions was "What is the record for the longest run of blues?" and the answer they said was right was 9! I just realised that must have meant for todays game!!

...Sorry that was a pointless fact to put out there lol!

Woohoo my mate Keran I cried the whole way through when recording it and did the same watching it today. They cut out quite a good bit today when Keran chose me a money spider fell onto my box and we said it would turn the game around and it did. That was the start of all the blues well done mate and I know you enjoy the money :-D

Blimey, I knew today's game was going to be worth watching and halfway through I did think it was going to die any minute. But nope, turns out it broke all the records!

9 blues in a row
5 rounds of all one colour (in the banker's birthday week she'd have been guaranteed an offer after every box in no time!)
...And am I right in thinking £2 is the lowest offer in a game that resulted in a power 5 win? Or any red win for that matter...

A well deserved win in every respect. Well done Keran!! :smt023

Never mind game of the month, surely that was the game of the year, if not ranking alongside the top 5 best games ever - what an extraordinary game that turned out to be!

Astonishing to have such a swing in the game, achieving the feat of having 7 reds in a row followed by a record 9 blues in a row! It really ratcheted up the tension from an early stage. £5k at 5-box was a clever offer (not a 'great' offer, as someone put it, though), being her highest up to that point and the 2nd highest box amount, but by then I think she couldn't believe the situation she was in from how dreadful the board was, and just went for it, which made for great television. This game will be remembered for a long time, I think.

How appropriate this record breaking game also ends the record breaking absence of the £75,000 from the table, and in spectacular style. 165 shows, but it was worth the wait!

A defeat for Banker complacency - £7k at five-box or Old Faithful at two-box would have done it surely - but a quite remarkable game.

That her expectations were destroyed early in the game probably had a lot to do with that - if it had been a game where the big reds were gradually eroded she may have been more cautious perhaps, but early devastation of the board quite likely caused her to set her expectations low and see anything as a bonus, and a low two-box offer and a Wakeyist intervention from Noel did the rest.

Let's hope this stops people giving up on one-box games - viewers, mostly, contestants perhaps. Let's seriously hope this doesn't spark a new Wakey Winter... although I don't want the Scaredycat Summer back either.

Awww didn't my wee 'partner in crime' on the west wing do well! I knew she was gonna go all the way and she completely embraced the game and lady luck was on her side.

 A good banker thrashing never mind spanking- wouldn't you all agree?

Chris :D

Dead right - most of the really huge wins haven't come from great boards throughout, even Laura only had 50k backing up the 250k - the closet previous example I can think of to this game is 100k Gaz, luckily like him, Keran kept the last other red on the wings as back up for her big box on the table, and the banker treat it like it was a blue! Similar to Maria too, she only had the 100k and 15k left of the reds at the 2nd break IIRC.

Usually on the really huge boards the Banker actually takes it seriously - or if he hasn't, he's been shown as right to do so because of a weak/targetist player (Kathleen, Constance, JT, etc etc)!

With a one-box game he's been known to overstate the extent to which the players are scared of leaving with a blue!

Brilliant game today. I knew she was going to win loads, due to the spoiler thread, but I didn't know how much she actually won or how she won it. She seemed like a nice lady too. I didn't really notice her much in the wings, so I was surprised at how bubbly she was in her game. I like it when that happens. Definately one of the best games this year, and certainly the best in season 4 so far. I hope it's a sign of things to come.

Excellent game today, a bleak start but she went all the way and actually remembered that no matter how much you anhilate the reds it won't stop you winning one if one of them is in your box.
A great result and a deserved win! WELL DONE KERAN!

In this season so far only the wimps have brought the big money to the table only to squander it, or the players that have gone for it have ended up with a low blue.

At last long last today we had a brave player with the box they deserved, congratulations Karen on a great game played by a stupendous lady.
