£10,000 should sound right at this point for a hypothetical offer.

What, a Banker's Gamble? Gamble £2,900 to win £12,000? I'd take it! £100 isn't a terrible blue amount to go away with.

The Banker makes the offer to hopefully get his dream of David going home with a blue!

David says

NO DEAL

If he turns this down then... I'm trying to think of a polite way to say it.

I can't.

Would imagine he'd have played on. A power five, rock and a 3k back up and nothing less than a hundred quid was really a pretty strong position to be in.

Can't agree with you after what he's just done. That's the worst decision I've ever seen on DoND.

David thanks everyone for one of the best experiences of his life, and says it is worth more than any money he could have won.

Noel opens box 4 and reveals £35,000

Box 5 with Newbie Tina contains the £100

I think that's the worst mis-use of the banker's gamble. Ann turning down the gamble on a blue vs £10k having dealt at £1,000 and Chris turning down the gamble on £5k vs £20k having dealt at £8,000 aren't as bad as this one.

Nice guy, unfortunately a run of bad luck meant he had to take it and run but it wasn't the best decision :?
Oh well

Trust me, that's not why he's an idiot. It's not that his offer was lower than any of the others in the game, it's that it was on a board worth double. And the Banker's Gamble... well... words fail me.

After having such a powerful start ever in Season 4, we end up with a poor deal!

What a rubbish Season were having! :smt009 :smt011

Well he still won thirty times more than I would have done with those 'offers' but frankly he doesn't deserve it for his gameplay. He deserves it for other things he has gone through, probably - Endemol are clearly no longer concerned about a little thing like 'gameplay' and the show is Noel's Christmas Presents 365.

Yep. He quite clearly was utterly determined to avoid going home with a blue - even to the point of rejecting near ten to one odds on a coin toss.

I totally agree! After turning down £15,000 why deal at £3,000! And its not he dealt on an unstable board. He had the 2 big reds and a decent fall back. And to make it worse his lowest amount he could have won was £100. But the worst thing was he turned down the gamble!!!! Worst gameplay in such a long time!!!

Ugh. That was clearly the worst ever game I've seen. He was really cheesy, despite what had happened, and the fact he did that??? TWICE??? :|

Well I am absolutly amazed we have seen some horrendus weak deals and decisions on the bankers gamble but that has to be at the top of the tree.
The offer was terrible in the first place and then to keep it on a In my opinion no brainer bankers game decision was just and i'm sorry to use this word as I know its not nice to say but that was Cowardly!

Banana Sandwich!

Nope... try £32,000.

Which reminds me, I went to Millionaire being taped last month and liked it a lot. I'm going to DoND tomorrow and am dreading idiotic gameplay, be it of this type or its Wakeyistic opposite. Not that anyone's going to get a chance to show true Wakeyistic tendencies with these 'offers'. How they are enough I'll never know.
