I hate when he does that too, it ruins the suspense of "Oooh, what will he offer?"

55k would be an insanely high offer, though. I'd like to see it happen, because I think the banker was lying so he would go on.

Noel says he was worried that Mark was going to squander a great opportunity. The banker phones and says he's out of breath as he thought Mark would deal. To confirm, Noel again says if it's the 3 lowest blues now the offer is £55,000, if it's the 3 higher blues it's £40,000.

8 - Charlie - 50p

Huge cheers there!

21 - Whitey - £10

More huge cheers... Noel says the next offer won't be £55k, but it'll be a min of £40k if this is a blue now...

1 - Jill - Noel calls a break

Sounds to me as though Noel went full-on Wakeyist and Mark bought it. The fact I'd have played on too (in this case, playing for the eight-box Deal after that Banker promise) is completely beside the point.

This is such a suspenseful break! Watch the banker offer exactly 40k if it's a blue, I hate when he does that.

It seems a bit strange that £15,000 is the decider between whether it's the 3 low blues or the 3 high blues... makes no statistical sense but certainly builds up the tension. It does beg the question though... what will this offer be if the next one is a low red? Could be easily in the £20k - £30k region if the banker's placing such importance on the value of the lower amounts.

Did Noel change what the Banker said about the guarantee, presumably to encourage an EIGHT-box No Deal?

I predict the top prize to go next round and a Noel-induced chase to a blue. I'm so glad I'm not watching the show on the telly, this is making me angry enough on here...

I think the banker said before Mark no dealt that the offer would be £55k if he took out the 3 lowest blues and £40k if he took out the 3 higher blues, I didn't type that properly the first time as I thought I'd mis-heard as it makes no sense...

I completely agree, H. The banker's logic is very asinine sometimes.

Even if he hits 50k or 75k or 100k now, it would still be a phenomenal board. 25k coming up?
