I don't get the cocky thing to be honest - I thought he was confident and self-assured, that's all. He seemed to know what he was doing and had his head screwed on, and the offers didn't seem to give him any trouble at all - let's face it, only someone like Hayley or Michael would have won a red today. At least he took it all in his stride and it didn't feel too depressing, he obviously didn't have any regrets about any of the decisions he made (except he maybe should have picked different boxes!) :)

I don't think he was the type to deal 10k on a 250k/blues last 5 either so I think the only difference he could have possibly made was save it until 2-box.

It seems Thursdays are cursed at the moment! Every game in season 4 has been a blue win - Bez, Tim, Ruby, Nicola and now Jas - they've shared the highest 5 blues between them!

Oh no they haven't - I was thinking Nicola had won £500, oops!!

And now, over to Bob the Incinerator to make quick work of this cavalcade of crap.
Take it away, Bob.

Anyone else watching the show would have thought "OH NO WHAT BAD LUCK!" - but for us avid fans of the show, when the Banker rings with one of his promises AND extra heartbeats in the ambience, you could just see an all-red round coming a MILE off! :(

Bad luck Jas, an unavoidable trainwreck is one you simply cannot avoid! You gave it your best!

EDIT: Taff has a habit of seeing blue wins in the audience, doesn't he? :P The opposite to me in all ways!

Oh no! We're doomed. :( This suddenly makes the credit crunch and impending recession pale into insignificance.

Based on these responses, I'm guessing y'all don't like Bob that much.
Remember folks, it's all just for laughs ;-) .

I'm far from being a Bob fan but I have to admit even he isn't quite as stupid as this gem from Big-Davey...

I thought that was a fairly mediocre game. It wouldn't have been so bad if there was a big (or even decent) money win but Jas didn't do anything for me.

That was a very disappointing game to watch live and all the pilgrims seemed very flat after the game. Of the 3 games I've seen live it's been Sue (£10,000), Shaun (1p) and now Jas (£50) so what will tomorrow bring?????????????????

I really warmed to Jas and think that if the big money had been there he would have gone for it.

The good news is that I saw myself + the other 5 members of the party on the recording. Tomorrow I'm on the front row right behind Noel so should be constantly in view. :D

An alright game. Nothing special and it's a shame that the £250k didn't remain as it would of at least provided one decision in the game with the £10,000 offer. Instead it was all the way to £50 with no decent offers in between.

I was difficult to connect with today's show really, due to the player discovering big reds at the start and the contestant being slightly on the cocky side. The game never really took off, and the offers gave no decisions to make anyway - £3,500 with the £250k remaining? That could easily have an extra £10k added to it and I'd still be debating a deal.

Cruel luck that he found the £250k after the banker told him the offer he would receive if it stayed (£10,000). It would have been fascinating to see what he'd have done there. It would essentially be a Trevor offer, which created a lot of uproar at the time, but with current banker behaviour, it now almost seems generous!

Best part of today's show was the introduction of 95 year-old contestant Ada - think she'll be a lot of fun!

That was a harsh game, I didn't mind Jas, i can sort of see why some people might find him cocky but it just came across as confidence to me. Kept hoping he could turn things around but the luck just wasn't there.
