Not the most risible deal this week but it was well worth carrying on.

1 - Paul - £1,000 completes the game.

Noel says this is great because Lee and his wife have had a tough financial time, but Lee says things are up on the up again...

That was one we needed after all that bad luck and the poor deals :)

Perfect game.

About time we had one of these by dealing!

Noel closes the show by saying they should never ever dis-respect the money and always remember different people have different circumstances, and says that the show is all about making money for people which will change their life.

(Says the Noel who used to shout at people for dealing good offers!! :ponder: )

After that closing speech from Noel, I think I am too!!!

He'll probably be Wakeyist again tomorrow, the hypocrite. But that's the most clearly anti-Wakeyist speech he's made since the 'take-it-or-leave-it commodity' speech of November 2005.

That one was an OPW game too!

Wow, what a great game. Looks like Box 23 has some great news for Lee.

And thought it would be 10 years before we had a great win like this. Nice going, Lee, and enjoy the money :D !

Today's show was alright but not as good as previous ones, I thought. However for the game it was very good, which proves that OPWs and big money wins don't always bring the best overall shows! Lee was a nice enough bloke although his shouting could've got a bit irritating in the unedited version.

A much-needed OPW by dealing a fair 5-box offer. Shows how crap recent 5-box offers have been when £12k has been offered with £250k (and £20k I think) and Lee got it today with £75k and £20k up there!

Well, at least Lee got an OPW, however the show seemed a bit bare, and wasn't as entertaining as other previous ones either really, and he didn't even consider playing on when £12,000 was offered, despite still being able to possibly win £75,000.

A rare really good offer with a blue in the player's box!

Good to see the banker not be really harsh to someone who's open and honest about why they need the money. I'm glad the relative risk of no-dealing the 4k paid off handsomely for him, I'd have absolutely hated another trainwreck, but that was one of those really nice games where the player struggles to get anything signifcant out of the offers, finally manages to get one really good round and an offer to go with it, takes it, then destroys the board. :)

Lee seemed a really nice, decent honest chap as well and you could tell just how much 12k meant to him, especially as it would have been horrible if he'd played on. Only the second player win of the season! :D

A lot better game today. I'm glad Lee won a good amount today and managed to get an all too rare OPW via a deal.

As a Rugby League fan myself, I may have in the past chanted some friendly banter at Lee in his Robin suit but today I was cheering for him.

I don't get this forum sometimes. Today nobody was shouting stupid when he dealt when the £75.000 was still in play but in recent days there have been huge outcries.

Perhaps people are feeling what H just quoted from Noel, and something I said in a recent post, that peoples circumstances are important, and £12.000 can be life changing to some, but small fry to others.

Lee was a brilliant character and let's hope the cash gets him out of the hole he was in.

After Noel's comments at the beginning of the show about each game being indepedent from each other, I presume that's the last we'll hear of "the curse of the newbie" and "Box 22 - the death box".
