And the Banker's Gamble goes back to its roots.

The same final two and offer it was used on first time. But much more interesting with the knowing banker?

Brian tells Adam it's a fantastic gamble, but can he afford it...

Adam says

NO DEAL

Would take the gamble in an instant. Ignore the psychology and you are getting four to one odds.

I think he'd have played on the 1p more if he had it.

I'd Deal the Banker's Gamble and - historic moment! - not swap.

And sure enough.

A victory for the 1p psychology if nothing else.

£10,000 was simply too much for him to gamble on...but I'd have taken the gamble on the theory that he knew your run-of-the-mill player wouldn't risk winning 1p to win £50,000.

yes. My shirt also got a good three minutes' airtime in the background, everytime Adam's mum was on screen ;)

So how was it watching your first-ever live show Jonny, especially with it not being a 'normal' show?

For me, watching a Christmas Star show seemed 'normal' to me as I hadn't seen normal...but then when I went and watched Reg's (Feb 21st), I thought whoa, this is much better!

Oh and nice sombrero! :P

Well, it feels weird to see the game I saw on the TV now. Adam seemed to be very nervous at the start (understandably), but got into his stride by the end. He actually considered the banker's gamble for a looooong time - he kept saying that he knew he'd be playing today, and he knew the big money was in the table. My mum said she'd keep the £10k, I said I'd gamble it ;)

You could tell that he really wanted to gamble it, but the fact that it was 1p just made it a pretty tough call. And frankly, he probably didn't want his mother to watch him win 1p.

They cut out my bit of airtime  Adam's mother kept saying "I don't know why you keep looking at me, Adam", and Noel responded "I don't think he's looking at you, I think he's looking at the idiot sitting behind you!", to which Adam waved at me, and I waved back. Oh well

But an enjoyable game. Pretty average, in monetary terms - but Adam clearly got something good out of it in the end. Roll on tomorrow...you won't see me at all in that one :)

Thanks! I got it in a joke shop in Lincoln, and took it into school with me. It has a break tomorrow, and returns with vigour on Friday's show :smt023

It was really weird to see it with music etc. I also kept shouting out things, like when Adam chose Ray, I was like "noooo it's got the biggie!", because we had to re-shoot that opening, so it stuck in my mind. Yeah... :laughing The contestants look even more ridiculous on screen than in real life, if that's at all possible!

Can I also just add that I had no idea my clapping was so ridiculous :D

It would of been nice to see the Sunshine twist today, but yet again the Sunburn twist did provide for another pyscholgical game, though not on the same level as Em's game yesterday.

The Banker didn't give too much away today I thought, but I did have a feeling there was a big number in the box. The inclusion of the Banker's Gamble also made for an interesting end, especially considering the Banker actually knew what was in the box this time. I did think for a moment Adam was going to accept it.

So another good game with the inclusion of not just the Sunburn twist, but the Banker's Gamble chcuked in too.

Another story from the dream factory...

During the warm-up, Mark Olver picked on me loads, asking me if I were single, and then asking if any of the 22 took my fancy. I said they all looked pretty ridiculous - and he asked the 22 if any of them were single - to which Brian jumped up and down waving his arms, and Jay shouted that he was too. Mark Olver said to him "So you're single, Jay?" And Jay, who'd only just realised what was happening said "Uh, well not for him, I'm not!". I was rather offended at this point, so I yelled back "Then don't put your hand up next time, sunshine!", to which Mark Olver replied "Quite right".

That's my hilarious anecdote for the day. :smt023

That was a good game but it was a shame he didn't take the 50-50 gamble at the end. I think I would've been tempted. Didn't he also get the chance of a swap if he went back to live play? :blueponder

Ah well, £10K is alot of dosh anyway. I hope he enjoys it! :-D

Ok show today... not as good as yesterday's. Wasn't sure what to make of Adam, wasn't overly keen but didn't dislike him. An interesting game though, shame he didn't accept the banker's gamble at the end.

I liked Adam and it was an OK show but I'm still not a fan of the Banker looking in the boxes, it just seems tedious to me. I'd rather they just gave everyone an offer after every box or came up with something else to put in the "bad" suitcase like...er....well I can't think of anything. So I'll be quiet now.
