£1,000 short from even considering...

Didn't Chris have one the other day? Or did she have 2 reds at 5-box?

Her's seemed like it wasn't coz it was one at a time! :?

Just about what I called for. And just about enough to take me out - but not enough to take him out I don't think...

She had 4 blues/ 1 red but she really only had one-box rounds.

Paul says that he still has a feeling about his box, and his partner looks on in horror!

The Banker calls back and says that he is changing the offer!

Banker's offer:

£14,000.01

Interesting. Paul was about to (presumably) no deal and now the banker's changing the offer... to oh £14,000.01. Playing on the fact his wife (or girlfriend) wants a wee.

Well that doesn't change anything substantive...

but a Deal it is. Surprising, yes. Stupid, no. Nor would a No Deal have been stupid. And, as it turns out, successful (barring a swap).

Still, this has been an exciting week and since Marysia's game the gameplay's been much improved. Worth noting though that nothing above ten grand's been turned down this week... so it's probably the weaker boards making the gameplay better!

I wasn't. I read his quick decision as a definite deal.

So £10k wasn't enough for what he wanted but £14k was. Either a very weird targetist or a good reader of the board then.

Hmm, if he had gone for Adam earlier like he was going to, and left Tim until the end, it'd have been a £20k vs £50k final 2 and presumably a £50k box win. However he may not have kept Tim until the end...

Oh yes you have, Paul

You could've had £35,999.99 more :P

I'm in a nasty mood after his behaviour early so you'll forgive the harshness of my comments.

Once he dealt, I wanted the £50,000 on the table to show him what being greedy really does get him! And yes, had he played on I'd have wanted the £1 there!

He seemed like he was a defiant targetist, £15,000 nothing less. And that last offer just had too much resting on it so fair play he dealt. But it was the way he played the game, just dripping with over-confidence, greed and no respect for the offers until the £3,000 at 5-box, by which time it was worth going for.
