Utterly confusing. If £1,500 wasn't enough for him the first time because he needs a kitchen how was it enough for him the second time? It's the same offer... surely he should have turned that down on the same basis it's not enough for a new kitchen...

It was a good offer but that got me confused :?

Maybe he could still do other things with £1,500 which he couldn't do with £250.

Because he's playing the game, which is just what everyone is crying out for at the moment. There was a lot more of the game still to play and more potential money available at the first offer of £1,500, so he took the chance to play for it. At the second offer it was at the end of the game, and although there was still more money available, there was also the chance of going away with virtually nothing, so took what would be a useful amount of money he could work with.

Volatility is basically a measure of how volatile and dangerous the board is at the time...

It's complicated but to work it out... the sum of all the amounts on the board are subtracted from the maximum left on the board (So at the start of the game £565,666 - £250,000 = £315,666), then the maximum left on the board is divided by that figure (so £250,000/£315,666 = 0.79). So the volatility at the start of the game is 0.79... and obviously when you get a board with just the £250k and lots of low numbers it shoots through the roof.

Again another stat from the members at Bothers Bar

Is it me or are half my favourites black widows/ terminators?!

Janine had £15,000 today (And always seems to have reds)
Diane had £35,000 (She always seems to kill the game with big numbers)
Len had £100k
Mavis had 5k
Andy had 3k

That' incredibly odd.
What a shame the game collapsed on Andy today, If it was a bigger money game, I guess he'd have gambled. £1,500 is more of a 'end the pain' offer, a lot like yesterday. Andy unfortunately didn't live up to what I thought he would, but nevermind. It's almost laughable when players get OPL's because it's almost not random it's so unlucky.

Hope you got your half a kitchen Andy! :-)

Andy was a nice bloke and I'm sure that'd have been a really cracking game with a good player vs. banker battle had the luck been on Andy's side, which it wasn't. :(

The final offer was a good one, and I can see why he dealt, as he clearly wanted to get something out of the game... and £1,500 is significantly better than £250. I'd have played on but I think he made the right decision for him...

This could be the worst week ever for amount paid out. With a total payout so far of £32,751, tomorrow's player must win £304 or more to avoid holding the title of joint worst week ever, which currently stands with the week beginning 04/09/2006 at £33,054.

I've just realised it's the end of May tomorrow. :|

Hasn't been a "great" month for DOND... although there was that peak in the middle with Tom's, Graham's and Betty's shows...
