I dont think people are giving sheep enough credit here... they are very intelligent animals.

With those odds lets get the sheep rounded up and in the studio. :)

Looks like OPWs and TPWs are forbidden on DoND UK now. Whenever someone plays these days, they either win a blue, or sell their box for far less than what it's worth. It makes the show seem kinda predictable, doesn't it? Whenver I read the recaps, those 2 kinds of games are all that I ever read about.

Well, I have mixed feelings about that show. The whole episode was quite entertaining with Noel going out of the studio because he'd been lambasted as host of the show, and Julie was a likeable and livelier character than most we have seen lately, but unfortunately she had an indifferent board for most of the game, and it was difficult to recover to a good offer after hitting the top 2 in the opening round.

At least the deal was, in some way, justifiable. A 30% chance of disaster and a 60% of removing the top sum, any half-reasonable offer had to be considered carefully. However, I think £5k was a bit low, and wouldn't have considered anything below about £8k with a mega sum still there. It wasn't the best decision, but it was by no means the worst we have seen (the last few weeks have been proof of that). She didn't have a lot to go at, and it was the highest offer up that point, so I don't blame her for taking it at all. Just a pity there was a huge sting in the tail...

It's interesting how you neglect to mention "interference" from the relatives when they say go on.

So you would have brought it to the table and picked the exact same boxes as Julie? That's a massive leap of logic.

£5,000 is 100 times better than Allan's winnings.

I might have picked the boxes in a diff order to Julie but ultimatly I had the 50K in the box so nothing changes there.
I could be left with 50k and 100k and id gamble whatever.

I didn't mention Allans wife because she did not influence him she just said its your game do what you want. Not DEAL NOW like alot do.

as much as I don't want to attack people's circumstances - it's irritaing that players have had low ambitions at the moment and would like to see more people gambling a potential few thousand in the context of what's available.

70% chance of 3/3.5k+, why not carry on?

As for Allan if it had been decent (20K) I'd have been happy with a deal but was glad he went for it but irritated the luck wasn't on his side.

I couldn't quite work out Julie during her show... she did seem rather odd in some way, but I'm not sure why. As someone else has already said, it may have been because she was trying a bit too hard with her comments about the banker being sexy and so on.

Anyway the show itself was alright and the deal was justifiable (just about) but I would've thought it was worth playing on really...

How frustrating, yet again a power 5 box comes to the table on the same day as a player with no bottle.

Just watched this game again this morning on More4 because I couldn't remember what happened first time round and I've got to say, I would have hated to be in Julie's position. Not only for the fact that she basically had a disatrous game but because Noel just seemed to be completely disinterested and at one point reverted to basically telling her off for doing things wrong. I know that after watching over 750 games Noel would be frustrated to see another train wreck of a game but the idea of a gameshow presenter is surely to make the contestant feel a bit more at ease. It is money they are playing for after all. I just got the impression that Noel gave up straight away in this game. Thank god for Betty's game that was a few weeks away. Felt really uncormfortable watching this game. Only decent part was when Noel was told to go and he tried to flag down a taxi outside the studio

Well, imagine if you were the host for 750 games, you'd probably end up getting annoyed after so many early bail-outs you'd lose your patience and get angry at a contestant for squandering X amount.

If Noel is becoming disinterested, then he isn't doing his job properly.
