Noel says we'll be talking about this game for months and months and months... the banker can be heard laughing hysterically down the phone, so the audience boo and his in response

Banker is telling all evil people to raise a claret to celebrate Banker's Day of 8th April 2008, and he says the claret is Derek's blood :shock:

In recognition in fact that the Derek Brown wing in the hall of fame, and also because Derek has taken this so well, the banker is going to put money behind the bar tonight, and Derek's going to get a bottle of champagne from the banker's collection!

Noel says Derek must be so disappointed... and Derek says he's going to take it on the chin and carry on... he thanks everyone for their support

That's kind of the banker. :shock:

It also wasn't being unfair on the other contestants for example giving the person in the chair a stack of money for losing...

Noel clearly knew the contents of the boxes. 'He's offering you the swap.' Derek: 'I'd like to keep box 2'. Noel: 'Are you sure'? No 'Certain' No 'What with all the bad luck you don't want to swap?!' No 'Oh ok then...'

That was just AWFUL, Derek had nothing to work with so was forced to the end really and ultimately the game crumpled and even then he was denied the 1p club(Id see this as the only thing worth going for on a all blue finish like that) or £250.
I liked Derek and this was a damn shame, but at least he has some bubbly and took it on the chin.

I mean, that was my mates granddad's best mate. I knew he won a fiver, and something about the worst run, but god! I hadn't a clue! An all blue squashdown was so unlucky. I'd have taken the niner.
