ive just watched it again as i recorded it

after emma opened her box massimo ran over to give her a hug.
you can see lofty looking over towards the west wing.
massimo walks back to the hot seat and the camera shows box 4 on the floor. all you can see is ,000.

noel says only fair way to go on as massimo saw the value of that box is for the IA to remove the boxes and reshuffle them.

im sure one of the production team told mass that his box will stay the same.

there is no way that the box just fell off :?:

That game made me feel physically sick. From the beginning it was one of the strongest games I'd seen in ages and then that box dropping ruined it completely. I really think there should have been some compensation to Massimo, like giving him the highest amount he was offered (£16,000) or let him chose to play a new game. I just feel he was so cheated and that he just gave up at £7,000. Maybe Noel could dip into his wage to help the man out, I'm sure he earns enough! I'm so mad. grrrrrrrrrrrrr :x :x :x :x :x :x
He seemed such a lovely man as well, really didn't deserve that. :(

Actually that last 0 looks further from the edge of the label than I thought.

Still. This is extremely suspect.

The thing is, we'd probably think nothing of it but for the other scandals surrounding this show (Sequencegate in particular). That, I think, is telling.

Could someone post the video on Youtube? I was looking away and heard some sort of headset talk, looked and saw a tattered box 4 on the floor and what looked like £10,000 in it.

Can one of the contestants let us know how much it was?

Would they have reshuffled if it was say a 1p box (i know the 1p was gone but you know what i mean)

I think the best way to deal (no pun intended) with that freak incident was to reshuffle the boxes and have the remaining contestants, Mass included, re-draw lots.

I completely agree, since if Massimo or anyone was to have seen the contents of the box then at the stage where just two boxes remains you wouldn't need to be Sherlock Holmes to deduce the contents of both.

As a nerd I enjoyed all of the shots of the cameras and crew, but as a DoND fan I was disappointed with the handling of the incident. I hope that Tom remembers to keep his arms a bit further back in future.

I'd guess More 4 will have a record audience for their repeat tomorrow!

Well that explains it; do you know what the value of box 4 was?

I feel a bit sorry for Tom as well during this whole incidence. To be honest knocking the box off the table by accident is probably something I'd do because I'm quite clumsy and get over excited at times. He must have felt terrible.
Like I said before though I really think Massimo should have been rewarded a bit more money for his troubles. Maybe the banker could have doubled his winnings or something :(

I'm getting more convinced it wasn't one of the big two.

The angles aren't quite right, but here's an artist's impression of what the big two would have looked like.

Hmm.

Looking at those, the gap seems... well actually it's probably even less clear, I'd guess five figures which at that point could have been anything between 10k and 50k.

I'd laugh if it was 15k...

I would almost certainly say Tom didn't have £100,000 or £250,000 in there, it could have been anything from £1,000 to up to £50,000 judging by the board at that point.

It's a very difficult situation to face and I'm sure it was probably the last thing on all the production crew and contestants mind during what was then a very strong and terrific game for Massimo.

I felt Massimo was a terrific contestant and he has been one of my favourite players throughout his time there.

I like Tom as well, he just got a bit excited as Massimo was doing so well.

Honestly, that picture doesn't do much. The 250k and 100k extracts are at a different angle still to the fallen box. I guess Digispy was right in thinking it was a 5 digiter though.
