There once was a contestant called Massimo
Who appeared on an popular TV show
They called it Deal Or No Deal
With a little red box there came a seal
10p was shown and after much applause
silence from the audience there was a pause
as box with number four
tumbled across the floor!
Noel explained the unusual situation
And without any further hesitation
The boxes where to be taken away,
Rearranged and put back on display
The game then went on
Only to be ruined upon!

Yes it's a bit rubbish but there you go!

Don't you think there would have been some reaction from the players who saw the amount when it fell on to the floor if Tom had still had the same amount after le grand reshufflage?

That's a point...couldn't the IA just keep the values the same, and tell everyone they were different? It would make sure the game played out the same (apart from Massimo's nerves being shaken), and nobody would notice until Tom opened his box again, after which point it would be irrelevant anyway.

I thought Tom looked oblivious to it all, as if he'd been super imposed from Countdown or something. Was he shocked?

I read it on the internet once.

That's no longer true. In the first run of shows they did use the M$ Excel random function. However, they didn't seed it properly, hence the "Sequencegate" affair where several games had the same allocation of values to boxes. After this was discovered, they switched to balls-in-bag.

Haha. Superimposed from Countdown. Classic. I'd say he looked more like he'd arrived early for Hollyoaks

*is easily amused*

He didn't look too bothered did he really? Just very quiet. Must have been shock!

I wonder if there will be a reference to it on today's show?

Sory to bump this but i was watchin a vid on Youtbe of 'the falling box' and managed to figure somethin out

The box that fell DIDN'T have £250,000

Proof
http://img201.imageshack.us/my.php?image=openboxrk4.jpg

Reasoning
The £250,000 sticker has the last 0 at the very edge of the sticker so y is there a gap??

That's my thoughts anyway

I reckon i saw things most other people didn't. I'm positivley sure i saw a glimpse of the full £10,000 label inside that box (4). Strange.

Thats untrue as well unless they switched the method before James' (2) game and after Trevor (2) game. They bought out the balls in a bag in James' game although there was a sequencegate in Trevor's game!

Well...James's game was after "Sequencegate" (the last game with sequences was Candice's), but you're talking about two different things - the bag they brought out in James's game was the one they use for the contestants to choose their boxes.

just so you know my friend was in the audience and he said he seen a number 3 in the box

so it could have been £3,000 or £35,000 if he was correct

I saw a one!

And Daniel, i mean Maralyn was in both Trevor (Sequencegate) and James' (Non sequence gate) games, therefore the change happened there. But from Candice's show to before James' show, not much of a gap.
