Haha, a little off-topic but R&J have just said they've had a huge powercut and have only just got the power back on. They're reading from scripts because the autocue isn't on and they're in a right mess. The power might go off again... I hope it does.

When I think of all the people who would love to have a chance on this show, it winds me up when a player doesn't give it a really good go. NO WAY was that a deal at £12,500. And when she turned to Sue and "we were right"- no you weren't, you missed out on £20,000. I'm half expecting Sue to go at the first offer now.

A very good show today - I liked Glenis a lot despite her quietness on the wings, but I knew she'd be good and was looking forward to her game. It was a shame she went a deal too soon although at least she didn't miss out on too much. It looks like Sue's show will be interesting with her advice to cautiously deal in today's show... and also Brian seems to be developing a catchphrase, and Pat's character is shining through more.

The shows now are definitely much better than they were in December - there have been mentions of death (including yesterday and today's show) but there was no crying and no sense of "getting money to compensate for the bad times" - Deano wanted money for his Mum and Glenis wanted money for her family which is great.

Well done Glenis!!

Why can't the players forget about the past games?

Great game Glenis but we want a mega red win we don't want little bits and bobs for this January. Last January we gave over 850,000 pounds. And here we gave out 59,600.1. Need more better.

P.S We are getting lots of young ladies and guys on :D

Another day, another death. I've finally worked out why the audience are always dressed in black. They're in perpetual mourning for contestant deaths and calamitous events.

Still nothing a handful of anti-depressants and a great game couldn't cure. Unfortunately I don't have any pills and the game was like watching a Greek tragedy unfold.

Glenis revealing that she wanted 'to go home with something nice' at the start didn't bode well for the Wakeyists amongst us so I sat waiting for the inevitable deal . It was hardly a surprise when she dealt with 3 of the power 5 still on the board. It was all the dithering and sweeps that made me laugh as it was blindingly obvious she was going to grab the money and run. It was of course too early and too much for us to expect someone to take the slightest risk on an all-too-rare-these-days good board.

The whole thing was uninspiring tedium and I'm wearing black too for tomorrows game.

For what it's worth, I thought that was the easiest OPW in weeks. At least, if we take the proveout offer of One Rock as genuine. There certainly wasn't enough risk to warrant a Deal at eight-box there, but conversely the five-box offer had to be taken with only a £75k/red offer likely to be more than £22k.

No doubt that the money will be well-used though, well done Glenis!

Quite right basicasic. What a damp squib of a game. I was really hoping she had the £75,000 after she dealt so early, just to teach her (and Sue) a lesson. I can't believe how some players squander such an amazing opportunity. Let's hope for better tomorrow!!!!

On a lighter note, today's newbie is rather cute isn't she?!?!

I liked that game. Glenis wasn't the greatest character on the wings but i liked her in that game.

Yes, i agree that the deal was a bit early, but then £12,500 is still a lot of money.

That was one of those occasions where I was shouting "DON'T DEAL"!!! at the TV, I was expecting that £12,500 offer to be more, and I thought unless she was unlucky enough to take out two of the power 5 and the 10k, she'd get offered at least something in the high 4-figures next time.

Even not a great round saw the offer go up to 20k, and that wasn't even inflated, Jean had that configuartion iin active play, and was hardly the biggest gambler in the world!

Just as shame she didn't pick the 6th round boxes in the 5th round and shut me up completely, and 5th round deal then the 10% chance of disaster would have been a wonderful game!

Just realised that that was almost exactly the same as Jules's game last week...only difference was that Jules went for six grand more!

Irritating she dealt when she did I find it funny how one person can influence someone when the other 150 odd all said No deal!

Still not too big a disaster she only squandered £7500 but still it was hidious to watch the oppotunity wasted, I am not looking forward to sues game I sense it will be one of those evil Ghastly nasty 3rd offer deal jobs!

Noel is right Sue= CHICKEN!

Did anyone notice Noel's mistake in today's show?

He didn't ask Glenis to confirm that she chose box number 17 at random and he didn't tell her that it is sealed by the independent adjudicator who is the only person who knows where the money is!

It's because it wasn't the other 150 odd's money
I think Sue was being cautious, i don't think theres such thing as a chicken in this game

I've noticed that he doesn't ask that in every show- or he probably does, but it's edited out every so often. I assume he asks all the players that question, even if it isn't always shown.

I echo the comments earlier - overcautious 8 box deal - should have been 17K IMO.

Maybe Glenis was seduced into an early deal by Noel's rather tragic shirt - it looked like a group of 3 year-olds had got hold of it at playgroup one morning and decorated it with potato prints...

Still, an enjoyable enough game without exactly setting the pulse racing. Enjoy the money Glenis.
