Simon's game today.

Noel says how the pilgrims and contestants travel from afar to be there at DOND, and some of the contestants leave with more than money - they leave with memories and leave legacies.

He talks about Mally's Law, Robin's Steps and Eric's board assessment. Noel says we got another legacy yesterday - the "Reality of DOND" - "It's only a game" - he asks today's contestant to remember that...

Simon has box 16 today.

Simon said he placed the box there with precision. He says it's a frightening prospect being in the crazy chair. Simon Davies from Kent - his line manager Hayley is in the audience!! Noel says she's here to check he behaves, and to make sure he goes back to his job at Sevenoaks Council :P

He says there are church bells where he lives and he wants to repair the broken bells - he's a campinologist  :P

He also wants to become an International Playboy. He thinks he's quite eccentric with a "Carry On" sense of humour... Simon thinks it's curtains already for him from what he's said on the wings...

The banker phones...

The banker says he totally agrees with Simon - humour is very important in stressful situations. The banker says he has some music to play to keep everyone calm, if need be...

Simon shows some pictures of his parents and other family members. He starts waffling on and music starts playing!!!!! :P He has brought an old fossil with him to prove there IS something older than the banker :-D

Here we go...

I wasn't expecting Simon to play today, thought he'd be there longer! He's a legend though, hope he does well.

Anyone else notice the man with the Noel trousers in the audience?

Oh god, here we go, Mr. 4389 would be having a field trip in this game. A P&P quote!

14 - Phyl - £5

9 - Olly - £1

Is Olly wearing school uniform today?! Looks like a grey jumper from school!!

5 - Artak - £50

Noel says this is extraordinary - DON'T JINX IT NOEL!!!

Noel says we can count on one hand the number of people who have had an all-blue opening round.

The banker says Simon's knocked the air out of the old fossil :-D

The banker has written down Simon's hobbies, amongst others:

Bell ringing
Geology
The paranormal
Collecting antiques

Simon says "Stop it" - The banker thinks Simon looks like an 11-year-old boy pretending to be a super hero!!

The banker talks about Simon's Carry On sense of humour, and the banker says if Simon carries on, he'll kill himself!!

Banker's offer

£15,000

Spammer!!! :P

That was a calculated decision based on the fact that lots of reds would be hit now, as there are more reds than blues left :P

And it would get me into the hall of fame :P

£15,000 was probably not worth dealing there, play it out and see.

£20,000, on the other hand, would have been severely tempting. And I am not a targetist.

We are back.

Noel talks about the extraordinary start (that sounded like an edited in bit :?).

18 - JC - £35,000

Oohs and a few groans from the audience... but Simon says it's alright and Noel says it's still ok...

Banker time...

No longer quite so stable. That was not OK; this will be way down now, and if it doesn't fall way down it needs serious consideration.

The banker says he's upset about JC's comment. The banker says he loves JC's daughter! Noel suggests he's trying to distract us from the strength of Simon's board. The banker says in years to come, people will look back and say men used to be like him and Simon!! The banker talks about fossil fuels and Simon talks about CO2 emissions... :P

Banker's offer

£15,000
