10 - Toni - she'd love to give him a blue and he says he'd love it too... nice rhyme there! :P £1,000

Noel says it's alright and we're getting there

Now, is he going to play the role of Jon Wakefield in this production?

I might be gone here, but playing on is entirely valid.

Edit: I think I would be gone actually. There's a real risk of a one-box game at five-box and that alone would spook me.

Thoughtful music plays! A thoughtful ooh from the audience, "for once" says Noel. Denis says the offer gets an appreciative "ooh" from him too, as he's seen it so often when the three highest reds go, or 2 blues and the highest red go. £16,500 is very attractive to him, and he says he'll never be able to get that legitmately again! :-D He says it's too cold to go out on the streets during winter.. .

Noel reminds Denis that there is big money there and he says "Imagine if there's £100k in your box" and Denis says "Yes, I do realise" :-D Noel wonders if the banker has found Denis' Achilles' Heel with this offer. Denis :ponder: s a bit more...

Denis DEALS

Noel says to sleep soundly now, Denis needs to take out big numbers to prove he never had them.

As he said earlier, he's leaving 13 to the end

17 - Jonny - £500

"NO NOT GOOD ENOUGH" yells Noel...

19 - Artak - £50,000

Noel says it's good but he really has to find the £100k to be safe

6 - Colin - £50

"NO" says Noel, now we have a problem.

Oh SHUT UP you bearded *beep*

Banker time...

The banker says he knew £16,500 would work to get Denis out the chair...

Banker's offer would've been

£23,000

£23,000 feels a little inflated to me...

I'd have probably been gone at £16,500 as well.

If I'd known that was coming I'd have been more tempted to go on at eight-box. No-brainer five-box offer, verging on an outright banker lie.

Noel says if Denis had a little bit of extra courage, he could have had £23,000

Noel says he hopes £23k is the summit of the agony

8 - Maggie - £35,000

Noel says that's good but we have to find £100k in one of these two boxes

16 - Asma - 10p

"RIGHT Ok we've got one more chance" says Noel

Noel says deliver £100k or he's made a MASSIVE mistake

2 - James - £100,000 :D :D :D

Suck on that, bearded boy!! :D

Noel says Denis is "off the hook"... :?

Banker time with £10 and £5,000 remaining...

The other box - 13 - newbie Louise - £5,000

Denis says he was worried that he would lose his luck and wanted to deal at that point - and Noel says he goes away with momentos of his fine acting career on DOND and that he'll leave a hole on DOND and we'll miss him...

Noel tells Denis to enjoy the money... he says he loves it - a big game for a big personality - the most wonderful game - he says he loves it when people stamp their authority on their game and it was a grand performance, he thinks the reviews will be kind to Denis...

Perhaps not the Wakeyist's reviews, but still, quite a nice game.

Well done Denis, enjoy the £16,500.

The KP Times arts section wrote:
Denis Beckwith made a fine entrance from the wings to appear as The Player, providing some fine comedic moments along with entirely reasonable actions. He maintained his dignity well in spite of a dastardly unseen role from Glenn Hugill, aided and abetted by Noel Edmonds as The Badly Shirted Wakeyist. An unscripted plot twist at the end proved fortuitous, ensuring that it was Beckwith who took the plaudits to the point that Edmonds slipped almost entirely out of character.
