£500 is better than a penny, I suppose, but I do wish James had won the £5,000.

James was good to watch and despite the awful end gave us a good show.

Did anyone else think Noel's shirt was an abomination today? I thought it was hideous!

:D

James did not play a bad game at all. I thought the banker's offer of £6,000 at the 5 boxes left stage was suprisingly ungenerous seeing as there were 3 decent amounts left, but I guess it made for a more nail biting finish for the Saturday night audience. I thought the offer would be closer to 9K or 10K which if it had would have made dealing the most sensible option with the odds at that stage.

Well if you look at the pattern of past games, it's not a good omen for whoever plays on Monday...

Dave W takes over the role of The Terminator! (nice thinking Patrick!) I'm really sad that James won only £500, but at least its not a penny.

Okay. I only caught the end of this show (why can't Channel 4 have one consistent timeslot? ), which I'm disappointed about because James was probably one of the contestants whose shows I wanted to see the most. All I picked up was that he was left with £500 and £5,000, turned down £2,000, rejected a swap and went away with £500. Afterwards I thought, why on earth were most of the contestants crying over it? It's not as if he went away with 1p, or even something like £50! He even said he can go to Rome on a holiday with that money! So what was with the response..? :?

I guess it's all in the context of the game, as a DOND contestant you have about a 90% chance of going away with at least a few thousand and the remaining players always feel bad for the unlucky 10% who don't.

£500 is still meaningful money though, unlike some of the lower blue amounts.

Hey guys, that show was so heartbreaking. I had tears in my eyes at the end. Poor James :( . So brave.
What I liked most about him was that he seemed so genuine. Most players adopt the poker "bluffing" face to try and hide their dismay at a less than optimistic round. I felt I could see exactly what James was thinking and feeling throughout the whole game through his facial expressions and body language, you could tell how upset he was.
Hope him and his wife enjoyed Rome regardless, it's a beautiful city.

P.S I quite liked Noel's shirt, it had that 60's/70's retro look about it 8)

Thanks - there's already a thread specifically for this information on this forum though.

I guess you're the Ryan who posts them on Digital Spy?

yeah but in all fairness ryan, i was the first one to do these kinda player show count lists, and allthough you probably compiled the list yourself, it's the same information...there's no point in holding a claim over such information as your own when it's fact, not personal opinion.

and the type of rundowns of the show can be found on many other sites and other members post them...
