Noel does a big speech about how courage has been rewarded so far this week, and then the banker calls and offers the SWAP...

Lisa is stuck now, as she said she would never swap, but has also kept box 7 until the end....

Lisa says

NO SWAP

Noel opens box 19 and reveals £3,000..... Noel nearly shouts YES until he sees the real value....

Box 7 contains the £35,000

The swap would've been the right thing to do for the fourth game in a row!

Ouch at Noel... "Ye... ohh! I thought it... ohh...". :(

Shall we just call this week 'Swappers Paradise' and be done with it?

Painful finish but if it teaches Noel a thing or two about how risks do not always lead to reward, there's some good out of this... a third no-deal-and-swap OPW in four games could have caused outright anarchy...

Even Noel thought it was the £35,000 then!

Oh bad luck! That was definitely the most ironic end to a game I've seen for a while!

Also, I'm surprised £15,000 wasn't enough for what she wanted to do! :(

Given that goal, this is the last player I wanted to make a bad gamble... :(

Note to contestants playing this week: Always Swap! Actually I'd somehow have to time travel back six months and say that, or however far back they are...

After that really terrible start, to see her recover and keep that £35k to the end was amazing, but she just misses out on the huge win she deserved at the end! It really reminded me of Rossano's, with the 10p being the equivalent to Rossano's £5, sadly today we didn't get a repeat of his £35k win, though. Well done, Lisa, I really wish you'd have won the £35k but £3k's still a good sum!

That was a shame as we've been having a run of ggod games since Viv's. I was a bit surprised she didn't deal at 15K but I wanted to see courage rewarded. :(

At least it wasn't a blue win which was what I worried about early in the game. 3K is a reasonable consolation.

So nearly another great turnaround. If £15k wasn't enough to meet her target it's fair enough that she went for it, and at least £3,000 is a reasonable consolation given the way the game went early on.

:( Bad luck Lisa, worth taking a gamble though. Take care, Brenda.

What a disappointment that was after a disasterous start and brave claw-back. £15k at 2 box was really generous I thought and probably the bankers way of offering her a way out with a decent sum of money for her good cause. She probably got carried away a bit with all the previous successful gambles and stretched her luck too far.

If only she'd had faith in her dream the same as James had faith in his fortune-teller. But she took it well and as she said at the end £3k is still more than she came with. The right attitude.

Wow, that's the fourth time this week where a swap would have worked. Shame she didn't swap as that would have been awesome if she'd won £35,000, especially with her ambition.

Oh well, £3,000 is still a nice sum of money, welldone Lisa! :D

That was a really intense game. This September will be remembered with that run of bad luck starting with Siobhan, and now the good luck starting with Maria. Well done, Lisa. I really hoped it would be 35k. :(

I may have totally messed this up, but I think that's now 55 games in a row without a third offer deal, last was Mark a couple of shows before show 500 in June. If tomorrow's player also doesn't take it, then it's the second longest run ever (overtaking shows 1-55) behind the 66 show run from Mike in December to Paul H in February. It's possible it might even beat that, we'll see I suppose!

I can't see many grounds for a third offer deal as they're not as high as early in the year such as April. If there is a third offer deal at the moment it might well be a very cautious deal which i don't support.

I agree, this is not the offer pattern to produce a third-offer deal. The post-Laura offer pattern, on the other hand...

Aww..poor Lisa. While £3,000 is a nice sum, she deserved the £35k.

She was brilliant, a pretty and lovely lady.
