Way to go! And if she'd chased £75,000 for the girls... oops!! It would've been another trainwreck, and probably the first self-inflicted one of season 3...

self inflicted dont think so i thought it would have been right to carry on

im not using hindsight so it could have easily been a 35k or 75k win

would have definately been better tv man

The banker calls back and says that concludes the battle of the sexes and let the prize giving commence :D

Gregg takes the walk of wealth with a scroll that he delivers to Noel

The women won £157,516.02

The men won £215,690.10

The men win, and Gregg appears with the GRAND PRIZE, which is the smallest trophy ever :-D

The men are each allowed to keep the trophy for one month each, but they must pay the postage themselves as they pass it on

The ladies all receive a break at a health spa :D

To quote Bearded Chris: 'Well that just about sums it up doesn't it?'

Nonsensical twist.

I just knew it'd be something comedic!

So here we are then; either long-runners like Danielle or Ioanna could play tomorrow, or the longest-running male (Tom) might get a go to give a pause for the ladies playing!

Well, after this whole ridiculous contest, you just knew that was going to happen. And it wouldn't have happened if the women had won.

I hope the game gets back to normal as quickly as possible.

That's pretty much what September 2007 is going to be remembered for. Utter nonsense.

I think the fact that the "losers" prize was better than the "winners" prize proves what a waste of time the battle of the sexes was... sorry, I know people will say "it's entertainment" but I didn't find it that entertaining as it meant some of my favourite players over the past few weeks (Pete and Stephen to name a couple) did fewer shows than normal... and it also meant that some female players I was neutral about did a high show count... not forgetting the fact that it removed an element of variety from the show with all women on the wings and men replacing the women and men playing for 2 weeks, women for 2 weeks, etc...

I'm glad that the battle of the sexes is over and that hopefully things will get back to normal now... sorry... I'm moaning again but I haven't had a good "NO GIMMICKS" rant for a while now because there have been fewer recently... but the "prize giving ceremony" made me cringe at the end of today's show...
