Pete was such a lovely and good looking guy - one of my favourite contestants ever - definitely in my top 5! Such a shame he had a trainwreck game like that but he was a great contestant to finish the male half of the battle of the sexes on - but I was so hoping he'd do better than winning only 10p!

I thought he might deal the last offer of 19p, but at least he's in a very exclusive 10p club with three other people - Raj from November 2005, Joan from June 2006 and Steve from June 2007 (Steve being one of my all-time favourites as well - I think the 10p club is my favourite amount club now!).

Hope you do well in the future Pete - good luck with uni and everything else - you may have only won 10p, but your looks are worth more than £250k... ;)

And as Billy just pointed out... something quite ironic:

[Billy] He's the only person recently not to take a comedy deal and the only one to have the lower amount...

I know, ironic that he had box 6 and 10p just like Igor. I know 19p was rubbish but I was leaning towards a comedy deal there as a quid was dull but after a game like that who would care for that. 19p would have been more unique though and a Geordie style banker beating.

Well that pretty much sums up the terrible luck.

Is it me or with the exception of Stevie and Rossano, those players from recent weeks who have joined up on here had awful games?

Then seeing as Siobhan, Brenda and Andrea haven't played yet, well let's just say I'm sorry but if THAT goes bady, it is definitely going to make a lot of people fed up on here!

Total bad luck recently :(

Wow...just when you think a game can't get any unluckier you get another one. The last three games have all broke records - Stephen was the highest 5th winner, then Robin was the lowest 6th winner (the last day left in which no one had ever won a blue) and now Pete's the lowest 7th winner, overtaking £50 Sarah a year ago. Last time that happened was Maria/Igor/Lynn!

Really bad end to the first part of the battle of the sexes, but kudos for Pete for taking it in his stride and not letting it bother him. A real shame it wasn't more...let's see now how the women do!

Awful luck throughout for Pete, and it's the 3rd 10p winner created by box 6, in addition to 2 1p winners and several other blue winners for box 6.

That box 6 curse has struck again. Laura obviously used up all its luck in one go, and now it's a recipe for disaster every time it comes out it seems!

yes that's interesting, since Laura it's only had 2 decent amounts on the table. Anne Marie and Sarah and both of them dealt at the 3rd offer.

Still Catherine, Charlie, Joyce, kascey sold their blues for decent amounts and Pam did alright.

EDIT: damn forgot Amy Lee

Well that was another horrible game. Pete was a legend, a really nice guy who came out of it more mature in my opinion for taking it so well.

Poor Pete!!

[Hurrah, soon this rubbish Battle of The Sexes is going to end..]

I think Giorgio also had box 6 and won 1p.

Not sure if I am welcoming Pete to the 10p club, or the box six club - horrible game, but a lovely man - you deserved more mate (then again, didnt we all !). Hope, like me, you get recognised several times in one day (Newquay) - it makes you feel good ! I only won 10p, but had a bomb in my Jobcentre (Tamworth) yesterday - all good fun !

That was even more painful the way that game played out. :(
