That game was better than Rodney's as it wasn't spoilt.
I'm glad the banker gave a sensible offer and she dealt.

well done Maria.

Best game ever!! Maria, that was so emotional, and I am so glad you won £75,000. You deserved it more than any other.

What a game that was, didn't expect that at all! It's a while since a contestant took a risk I wouldn't have done, and that was probably the case at 5-box.

I had a bad feeling she was going to go all the way and get £3,000, as she seemed so determined and I was sure I would have heard if there was another £250,000 winner - but for once it was a partner who helped the player make the right decision instead of the opposite! Well done Maria, hopefully that's the start of a memorable final week of the series!

Haha, this week's already almost twice as better in terms of winnings than the last week before the summer break last year!

Well done on the £75,000, Maria!

That was the best game ever!!! I *beep* loved Maria and I kept thinking it was going to go wrong...first I thought the £250k would go in the next round, then I thought she'd gamble and win £3k (I was actually expecting a Barbara-beating swap seeing as she liked Box 3 so much), then when she dealt I thought she'd have it in her box, but it was all perfect!!! That was definitely the game we needed after the last few weeks...hopefully it'll start another one of the good "cycles" that Noel goes on about.

And so much for women in E10 having crap results...

You must be rethinking giving up DOND now... (especially with another Daniel appearing in the wings as well!)

Yeah, if it hadn't been recorded ages ago I'd have sworn they'd read me talking about this morning and pulled out all the stops to win me back. :|

Wow, I'm still shaking with excitement!!! Best game in ages (probably since Graeme, as Rodney's was sort of spolit!). Amazing how many people have had the quarter-million in play at the end, dealt, and not had it in their box (only Germaine and Claudine have I believe)! For some reason, I actually expected an offer of £90k so was a bit disappointed with the 75, I thought she deserved more after turning down the 35k, and it should have been a bit higher than Rodney's 85k, and not far short of Graeme's 101k. I expected 90 as a play on it being "double what Laura turned down)!

I hope nobody says she's reckless, as it needs someone to take the odd risk of going against the general flow to produce really nail-biting finishes. I was actually really worried when she was offered £15, as joke offers tend to mean the banker knows something, so the relief I felt when the 1p went, and also the fact that she didn't have the biggie means it wasn't a set up like Alfie's joke offers.

And not only has she removed the curse of women in E10, but she's the biggest winner from it by almost double (Paul H's £40k is next)!

I just hope we don't see any comments saying "£3k is ample back-up, she wussed out for deaing £75k...." - but I doubt it! :)

That would be stupid. Who wouldn't deal there?

Basicasic might not I suppose... but I still think even he will give her credit for the way she played that though!

(By the way, did we see a short-lived new Wakey ID tonight? I suspect we may have done...)

Laura for one, although even she might have been tempted out for the chair for 75K and we'd still be waiting for our first quarter of a millionaire! :D

She said she'd have taken £50,000 so she would have probably taken £75,000.

I'm pretty sure Laura said she'd have dealt if it had been over 50k though!

And I do recall Wakey being disappointed that Graeme dealt 101k as "5k was still a lot of money"! :)
