Now that, folks, is what I call a Christmas miracle. A game that looked as if it was doomed to collapse, one P5 number holding up the entire thing, and he gets out with a spanking - and a five-digit spanking at that! (Granted, augmented by Santa and the Gamble at the end preventing a likely £20K final offer), but a spanking nonetheless.

Overnight rating, 2.35m. Although everybody was watching Shrek 2 on BBC1 (6.11m). DoND actually beat ITV1 and The Corpse Bride movie premiere (1.91m). Once againm it was the most watched programme on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve.
