Which is?

She was creating gaps. She was going down the wings opening every other box. Was I the only one who picked up on this?

Granted, post 5-box she did just seem to go random.

It isn't often I feel a player doesn't deserve a big win but Emma is one of them! :smt011 :smt019

Was it just me that felt she was quite badly behaved?

Not bad behaved but an unusual attitude to the game - I can understand someone making the hand movements she did out of tension but she seemed to do it out of boredom.

Another player who didn't have any luck after making a calculated gamble.

18 - £15,000 Carly

That's it, game over says Noel

13 - £5 Christina

Banker time with 10p and £500 remaining

Banker's offer:

£200

Emma says

NO DEAL

Noel opens Emma's box 5 and reveals £500

Emma says she will keep smiling

Sorry for the problems in updating the final round, my Internet connection decided to play up at the end of the show!

It is me then. I felt her attitude to the game, Noel, The Banker, the audience and the wings was lacking any form of respect, no matter how short her attention span. If her attention span is so poor I am surprised she didn't, as she, herself, said, just walk out, well before her game even got to be played. Well she did have to stand there for 20 games before hers!! :blueponder

Well that turned out to be disastrous... :smt011

Blame the bag of balls for this rotten luck!

Well, by far one of the funniest and light-hearted games we've had in a while (to start with anyway)

A great start with suitable offers IMO. I would have been tempted to deal at 8-box with £16,000 but would not regard it as greedy that she carried on.

Yvonne! Once again a power 5 and this time it was the £250,000 - and yet it seems to have gone unnoticed by all of them.

As with Dave's game yesterday it was a more unavoidable crash, and as for the £16,000 I doubt very few would have dealt then. At least this time the player went on to open their box at least.

I know what you mean, I would be telling the wings and Noel about it if I was on the show!

A spectacular bit of revisionist DoND history from Noel - the last two contestants turned down five-figure offers, crashed, then undersold an orange at the bitter end. Noel describes each of them as having 'dealt too soon'. Emma is going to be under some very unfair pressure to gamble on this evidence, let's hope she plays it her way. How can she keep Noel quiet? 11-box OPW, that should do it.

A nasty couple of boxes to start, but it gets better and winds up as basically an average opening round. Not the opening offer generosity that became standardised again in the second quarter of 2010, and Emma's entitled to be in auto-No Deal mode for now.

One of these days, I'm going to start the Accidental Product Placement files for this show. There's another entry.

Second round is reasonable; the board is dangerous for both player and Banker, and an 11-box Deal might well be mutually beneficial. We're not going to get a 14-box one anyway, I remember ten grand on a worse board than this once and the analyst army all mused about it being possibly dealable.

And 'possibly dealable' is the least we can expect now after an all-blue! Does the production team want a third-offer Deal? Apparently not. Move along then.

If Noel can get away with a stupid suggestion that is all his fault at 4:13, karma dictates he takes the blame for something that isn't his fault at 4:38. The eight-box configuration is still dangerous for both sides, and now we've had the second adbreak we should be getting something that perhaps a majority would Deal. We don't. The offer is revised, but it's still not quite enough, and Emma's already made the decision anyway.

Boom. Well at least one of our number is happy. Chances of that happening? 10.7%, Noel. If you had that board every day for a month of episodes, that would be expected to happen three times. And it just gets rubbish after that.

Short attention span? Some of us have it. It's fairly obvious why she was cast, the ironic value of a photogenic contestant from a village called Ugly (and at risk of sounding like a raging feminist, would this have happened for the most photogenic male in the village?) and perhaps a particular personality type that would stand out from the rest of the wings. Beyond that, I can't make value judgments. The only thing I will say is that if her attention span is that short, she may be more vulnerable to leading statements from Noel, seizing upon them in the moment perhaps?

Aww bless emma! Some of the stuff she said was very funny and slightly adorable. Beautiful face, nice figure, a bit unfair that it crashed at the end again, I wish she'd won more, the "bad behaviour" I think was a symptom of being nervous, all players deal with the nerves differently, I enjoyed the game, I've seen worse contestants (just can't remember them at this moment). Well done Emma on some nice cheer up money! :)

Yeah you needed to have taken her "attitude" lightly, it was blatantly for the cameras, as we saw during the latter stages of the game she really was taking the game seriously.

Gutted it all fell apart for her, really thought she was brave to decline £16,000...

I didn't think that. Noel can be an obnoxious little man (e.g. mocking her outfit today), she just gave as good as she got. I thought she brought some humour to the show.

I liked Emma, i enjoyed her banter with Noel. Some have labelled her rude but I think nerves have to be taken into consideration and the way she talked with her boyfriend suggested she was more than capable of giving as good as she got. Beside's let's not ignore the fact that Noel started it :-D

I think the evidence of her sense of humour has been there in her time on the wings, particularly over the past couple of shows and while i appreciate it's not to everyone's taste I can think of players who have been far ruder (albeit to the Banker rather than Noel) whose games have been described as comedy gold. But when a young attractive woman gives the host a bit of backchat it becomes offensive
:ponder:

Anyway an exciting, and quite promising game, I wouldn't have ruled out a deal at 8 box myself, £16k was lower than I'd have wanted but an 8 box offer higher than 3/4 of the board is worth considering. Still no shame in going on either, just a shame that once it started to go wrong the game collapsed irretrievably

Interesting game, lot of fun banter, sadly not a great money result but good entertainment value. All about the 8-box decision of course - my EV stats estimated 17k, so a close call, but it seemed worth going on, just unfortunate to hit that 10.7% chance.
