according to what ive seen, the top prize used to be Au$2,000,000 but they put it down to au$200,000. why is that?

The reason it was 2 million was because it was on once a week for the first year now its on 5 nights a week so they put it down to $200,000 thats probably the reason.

I live in Australia and watch DOND every day withour fail.

I gather the primetime weekly version was aimed at fighting Millionaire, but it didn't go down too well; the daytime version now is a lot more popular. To the point where it effectively killed off The Price Is Right there :O

They also made a half an hour version of Millionaire and DOND kicked its ass in the ratings. Then they tried Price is right and that failed as well now they are trying Family Feud and thats rating terribly also.
Hopefully DOND can stay on top for a long time to come its had no problems so far.
Primetime DOND was on a different night to Millionaire.
