Recap of tonight's show!

Howie says that there will be a random instant contestant playing in tonight's episode, simply picked from the streets of Los Angeles by himself without going through the tedious application process.

Game #1

Contestants: Annie Hewitt and Aubrey Wentworth, who happen to be twins!

The models take the walk, without their cases!

Howie then reveals that tonight is Ladies Night and that there are no men in the audience for this game, and a disco ball appears from the ceiling.

In addition, the models are sitting out this game...

Then, the male models (from the Fire Departments of Los Angeles and San Diego) do the walk, now holding the cases, cuing to the song "Ladies Night."

Howie also reveals that their game will be a Double Deal game, with prizes ranging from $0.02 to a cool $2,000,000, and not only that, but also they have two chances to win the $2,000,000, because each of them will pick one case to be their own.

Chosen cases: 7 (Annie) and 23 (Aubrey)

Round 1: 6 Cases to open, chosen by Aubrey

18: $150,000
10: $600,000
11: $200,000
6: $150
14: $1,500,000  Big money going fast!
15: $400,000  A really huge hole has developed on the right side! A pear-shaped board this early in the game!!!

In that previous round, he calls some of the male models by the women's names that would normally be on the spots they're replacing!

Banker's offer: $17,000!

Aubrey says NO DEAL!

Before the commercial break, in the $50,000 (normally $10,000) Lucky Case Game, the six cases are being held by those firefighter models!

Back to the main game and...

Round 2: 5 Cases to open, chosen by Annie

8: $1,000
16: $400
2: $600
25: $2 :D
17: $2,000,000 :( That was a very painful end to the round.

Despite the loss of the jackpot, the banker increased his offer by a little.

Banker's offer: $25,000!

Annie says NO DEAL!

Round 3: 4 Cases to open, chosen by Aubrey

20: $800,000  Virtually a one case game at this point.
5: $200
4: $20 :D
13: $100

Beginning this round, Howie actually asks the firefighters their names when they get picked by the contestants, instead of calling them by the female names which would normally have been in their places.

Banker's offer: $27,000 and a lifetime supply of Doublemint Gum, valued at $4,250, for a total of $31,250

Aubrey says NO DEAL!

Round 4: 3 Cases to open, chosen by Annie

21: $0.02 :D
9: $800
22: $10,000

Banker's offer: $44,000!

Annie says NO DEAL!

Round 5: 2 Cases to open, chosen by Aubrey

24: $50,000 Starting to look unsafe.
12: $100,000 That is definitely NOT okay, even if it was not the million. Really a one case game at this point forward.

The Final 6 Cases

- $10
- $50
- $1,500
- $2,000
- $20,000
- $1,000,000

The gap between the $1,000,000 and the highest amount after that has gotten very huge. Volatility is quite high (42.44 if you care), even though there have been a few games that have had volatility higher that this (one game had a volatility at this point at 865.04!).

The banker apparently brings his twin brother(?) into the banker's room with him!

Banker's offer: $86,000!

Aubrey says NO DEAL!

Round 6: 1 Case to open, chosen by Annie

3: $1,000,000! :( Game over!

Banker's offer: $1,800!

Annie says NO DEAL!

Round 7: 1 Case to open, chosen by Aubrey

26: $2,000

Banker's offer: $3,500!

Aubrey says NO DEAL!

Round 8: 1 Case to open, chosen by Annie

1: $50

The Final 3 Cases

- $10
- $1,500
- $20,000

Banker's offer: $6,000!

Annie says DEAL!

Howie now sees if they made a good deal, and he opens Aubrey's case to reveal...

23: $1,500

So far so good. Now, Howie opens up Annie's case to reveal...

7: $10!

To prove it...

19: $20,000

Game Summary:

Peak offer: $86,000
Case values: $10 and $1,500
Prize won: $6,000
Result: Technical Banker Win [93-7]

Howie, now decides to go the random contestant search on the streets of Los Angeles, and gets on the limo!

He ends up going to a local mall and finds his contestant, who apparently works at a fast food place called Hot Dog On A Stick, and her name is Michelle.

It turns out that she has a twin sister of her own too (Jennifer), and so they try to assemble up her supporters on the fly, which will be her twin sister, her boyfriend and her father, and apparently none of them really know how to play the game!

The limo, with Howie, the new contestant and her twin sister in tow, still in their work uniforms, now go back straightaway to the studio, and apparently neither the contestant nor her twin sister can believe it.

The gallery has no models, but Howie brings them out, and this time, they do the walk with their cases.

Throughout this game, her supporters come in, first her father, then her boyfriend, then her mother...

Also, a new audience is in for this game...

Game #2

Contestant: Michelle "Shell" Carney!

The fast food place she works for has an official lucky number, related to the owner's birthday of June 13, 1913, so...

Chosen case: 13!

Round 1: 6 Cases to open

17: $25,000
11: $75
2: $1,000
9: $100
21: $750,000 Ouch!
23: $300,000 Bad end to round.

Banker's offer: $21,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 2: 5 Cases to open

4: $25
7: $400,000
18: $500
10: $200
24: $500,000 A really huge gap has developed in the right side!

Banker's offer: $18,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 3: 4 Cases to open

5: $5,000
15: $200,000 Definitely unsafe. The gap gets larger.
1: $0.01 :D That's much better!
8: $10,000

Banker's offer: $34,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 4: 3 Cases to open

26: $10 :D
19: $5 :D :D
16: $1,000,000! Crash and burn end to the round!

Banker's offer: $13,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 5: 2 Cases to open

20: $300
6: $400

The Final 6 Cases

- $1
- $50
- $750
- $50,000
- $75,000
- $100,000

Banker's offer: $21,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 6: 1 Case to open

25: $1 :D

Banker's offer: $39,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 7: 1 Case to open

14: $750 Only one amount, $50 remains on the left side.

Banker's offer: $47,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 8: 1 Case to open

12: $50! :D Yes! Yes! Yes! The entire left hand side of the board is gone! She is now guaranteed to win at least $50,000!

Her final three is as stable as it can be: $50,000, $75,000 and $100,000.

Banker's offer: $67,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 9: 1 Case to open

22: $100,000 :(

Banker's offer: $62,000!

DEAL!

Shell is going away with $62,000. However, was it a good deal? Howie now opens her case to reveal...

13: $75,000 :(

Not such a great deal there...

To prove it, Lisa opens her case to reveal...

3: $50,000

Not a bad day's of work for this fast food worker, though.

Game Summary:

Peak offer: $67,000
Case value: $75,000
Prize won: $62,000
Result: Outright Banker Win

And this ends the recap!

Great recap, Goldeneye! Was it fun recapping a two-hour episode? :D

I have to admit, I really enjoyed the second game! Shell was a very nice departure from the typical loud and crazy contestants who usually get on the show! She was someone I could really root for, since she seemed so "normal". I wish more contestants were like her!

Amazing comeback too! Too bad she didn't go all the way, she in a very powerful position to become the first OPW via case! But no matter, she won much more than she probably makes in a year and that makes me happy!

The first one was a real trainwreck from the off and wasnt really going to get anywhere. The second game sounds alot bettere and $62,000 isnt a bad amount to win.

See, this always confuses me...how much is a lifetime supply? I don't really like gum, so a lifetime supply for me would be about one packet, but then someone who really loves it and has it all day would need loads. Could you sue them if your "supply" ran out before you died?

I make that a Technical Banker Win of 93-7...they sold their box (es :? ) for a profit, but only 7% of the peak offer.

Now this two-hour episode was unique for a lot of reasons:

Two cases being selected by the sisters. First time this has happened, and so it sort of threw off the normal rounds of sorts...

As I noted in the recap, Howie taking to the streets of Los Angeles (which can contain very mean streets in certain parts) to find a contestant out of random.

As for the mistake near the end, I was typing this up late at night, and I was getting ready to sleep at that point.
