And here's how it went for the first episode of 2007!

Contestant: Tommy Turpani!

Chosen case: 18!

Round One: Six Cases:

12: $750,000!! (Not such a good start for the new year!)

10: $400,000

6: $750

7: $25

15: $1,000,000!!!

19: $50

Ouch, what an awful round to kick off 2007! The Banker, of course, is very pleased by this and gives an appropriately awful opening offer:

Banker's offer: $8,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Two: Five Cases:

22: $25,000

8: $1,000

13: $100

2: $1!!

21: $500

Banker's offer: $19,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Three: Four Cases:

25: $300,000

3: $100,000

14: $5,000

4: $200,000

Banker's offer: $14,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Four: Three Cases:

1: $75,000

23: $10

16: $300

Banker's offer: $40,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Five: Two Cases:

26: $75

11: $500,000!

OUCH! That was the last six-figure amount still in the game and Tommy just eliminated it. Unfornately, this is now...

The Final Six:

- .01¢
- $5
- $200
- $400
- $10,000
- $50,000

Banker's offer: $9,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Six: One Case:

17: .01¢!!!

Banker's offer: $11,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Seven: One Case:

20: $50,000

UNLUCKY! And now Tommy cannot win the game no matter what happens from here on out. At the very best, he could still take home a nice $10,000 gift!

Banker's offer: $2,500!

NO DEAL!

Round Eight: One Case:

5: $10,000

DISASTER! What a tragic way to start the new year! Tommy has now gone into an exclusive club of players unlucky enough to remove all the amounts from the right side of the board.

$400 is the top prize possible in this game.

Plus, Howie is so upset, he refuses to answer the phone! He lets Tommy pick it up and they have an short conversation before telling him the offer.

You know it's not going to be much...

Banker's offer: $200!

NO DEAL!

Round Nine: One Case:

9: $400

And it just keeps getting unluckier! Now even that top prize has been removed! Despite the horrible luck, Tommy still tries to keep his spirits up and has a smile on his face but still visibly disappointed.

It's a $5 or $200 final two.

Howie decides to answer the phone this time. Of course, The Banker is overjoyed at how this game has turned out and is more than pleased to throw this minuscule offer at Tommy...

Banker's offer: $100!

NO DEAL!

Round Ten: Last Case:

Howie does not offer the swap and Tommy will leave the game with...

18: $200

To prove it:

24: $5

Tommy is pleased he, at least, still won enough to have a little fun with! He's grateful to have played the game and meet Howie, The Models and even The Banker! :D

Game Summary:

Peak offer: $40,000
Case value: $200
Prize won: $200
Result: Outright Banker Win

Well, I'm sure we all want to go back to 2006 after the witnessing the results of that horrid game, but 2007 must go on and we have this contestant ready to take on that nasty man in the office booth!

Contestant: Shannon Justice!

Fast facts: Shannon entered the game in the most unusual way! Instead of walking on to the stage, Shannon drops from the studio ceiling, suspended by an bungee cord! Shannon states bungee jumping is something she's always wanted to do and the show let her fulfill that wish right on stage! :-D

Once disconnected, Shannon is ready to play! She believes the million bucks is in...

Chosen case: 24!

Round One: Six Cases:

6: $500,000!

15: $100

4: $1!!

8: $400

21: $1,000,000!!!

1: $50,000

Banker's offer: $13,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Two: Five Cases:

14: $75

23: .01¢!!!

9: $100,000

2: $1,000

7: $75,000

Banker's offer: $34,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Three: Four Cases:

20: $300

13: $200

25: $10,000

10: $5!

Banker's offer: $58,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Four: Three Cases:

11: $200,000

18: $300,000

12: $400,000

OUCH!!! That has to be one of the most unluckiest rounds in the history of the show! Yes, she really did remove three huge amounts in numerical order!

Banker's offer: $41,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Five: Two Cases:

SUNDAY!

And there you have it! Sorry the new year for American DoND couldn't start off too well!

Those games sounded horrendous to kick off a new year of USA DoND.

Poor Tommy as well! Just like the way Sally went when she couldn't stop hitting the biggest number on the board.

I didn't see the episode last night, but OMG

Horrible games! I hate it when the big one goes in the first round, then the others follow soon after

Though everyone should read JR's review for Sunday's episode because:

There's a special twist coming to USA DoND!! :-D

Neat trick with the bungee jumping, a high point in arguably the ugliest show since $58 Friday.

Agreed. Bungie jumping onto the set was arguably the most interesting thing that they've done since they turned the set, cases, etc. lime green for the player who liked that color. As for Tommy's game, all I can say is, welcome to the DoND USA Hall of Shame, Tommy Turpani (note change in signature). Let's hope we don't see any more disastrous games like this ever again, because they suck the freakin' life out of DoND. Hopefully, we'll get a good win out of Miss Bungie Cord.
