It appears that DOND has "Jumped the Shark" in Season 3.

Or has it?

I haven't been able to follow it or see it as much as previously,nor do I want to watch it as much, but here are my observations from the shows (and parts thereof) I have seen and forum recaps I have read.
Reasons:

1. Banker's Winning Streak. IIRC, there has still been only *ONE* OPW with the vast majority of games being OBWs! That's like one OPW out of about twenty games! The influence of their helps puts more pressure to get OPWs, and we still can't see them. This season, we're lucky if we even see a TPW! It's obvious that these contestants are neither geniuses nor psychics.

2. The Million Dollar Mission. That was a big failure. Nobody with the million dollar case has the courage, but those with low amounts do.

3. The Hershey $100M Giveaway. Instead of a difficult challenging game board with a $100M Top Prize we get THAT? The $100M is totally unwinnable and they win nothing unless they win it. How lame.

And, the gimmicks don't seem to be getting too much better, and neither are the contestants. I do like the idea of football players and cheerleaders instead of celebrities as models, though.

well, the million dollar mission when i first heard is so outrageous. It's the player's fault why they landed at a Official Banker Win and the hershey company to lose less money in their 100th year celebration is to have a nearly impossible game with a grand jackpot of $100,000,000. The gimmicks were fair to lessen the boring elevation.

The Hershey $100M game aired 2 days ago. There were 3 teams and neither of them won it. Hershey gave them 100k each anyway.

I'm glad the Hershey contestants won $100K anyway, but I was expecting a game with a $100M grand prize. I think a game with a $10M grand prize would be a better start anyway.

I think the Million Dollar Mission has been said enough.

Now, as for the Banker's Winning Streak: I read the UK forums and know they've had long banker's winning streaks, but this one the US is currently having is unprecidented! I'm wondering if we even see an OPW (something that really should happen about once every five shows given the odds and optimal strategies!) in the US DOND ever again. (At least we finally saw a TPW on the last show.)

About what do you think the chances are of a banker's winning streak like the US version is currently having anyway? And, what is the record of the most consecutive games without an OPW on the US show?

Seriuosly, when are the players going to take back the game already? The Banker has gone on one hell of a winning streak, and it may never end. Hopefully it does soon, but the way some of the contestants have been playing, this could go on forever. Someone needs to get any kind of player win - and fast!
And while we're on the topic of the show jumping the shark...
