Does anyone know which versions of DOND have actually won the jackpot, and did they alter the format after it had been won?

I know the the original top prize of the French version (€500,000) was won several times!

They increased it to €1,000,000 last year, I don't think it has been won yet.

The Kapamilya had a 2 million win, but it was a bit of a fix as it happened on the 31st.

The only ones I can think of are the ones mentioned above - one win in the Phillippines, one in Australia and several in France. I suspect there has been at least one in Italy given that it is very similar in format to the French version (lots of swaps, rubbish offers and a Banker who knows where the money is) but has been running longer, but I don't know of any.

The biggest win in the history of the format was not a jackpot win at all but came courtesy of a Deal; €1,495,000, won by contestant Helma on Miljoenenjacht in November 2005. She Dealt with four cases left: €1,000, €75,000, €2,500,000 and €5,000,000. She immediately hit the top prize with the first pick of the proveout, and had just €1,000 all along.

Just remembered - two jackpot wins on the Mexican daytime edition for 1m peso. Including the only example I'm aware of where someone SWAPPED for the top prize!

Good point, JR. We're still waiting for these 3: Canada, Quebec, and of course, USA. Might be a while before we have a millionaire on the USA version, though. And Canada's version is only set to last 5 episodes. However, the Quebec version, Le Banquier (The Banker), which I'll be able to watch because I live in Quebec, will be on for 20 episodes. Top prize on that one is $250,000; on the Canadian version, it's $1,000,000.

Also, add Spain, who have apparently had five top prize wins in its 700+ episodes.

When the original jackpot prize was €500,000 in A Prendre Ou A Laisser, it has apparently been won 5 times, including the one back on November 29, 2005. (According to a site that used to be on apoal.net)

However, A few of the episodes had the Joker valued at €550,000 (€25,000 times # of contestants getting the Joker Question right), which makes that the jackpot, above the "normal" jackpot prize.

I am unsure what episodes did have the Joker valued at the higher amount though.

In Affari Tuoi (Italian version), the €500,000 jackpot has been hit at least twice (likely three times now):

According to Italian Wikipedia (if I read it correctly):
February x, 2004 - Roberto Pepi from Sicilia region
April 17, 2006 - Vincenzo de Paola from Molise region
May 9, 2007(?) - ???

The €1,000,000 jackpot (occurs in a few of the episodes) has been won at least once:

According to Italian Wikipedia (if I read it correctly):
April 7, 2006 - Maria Giulia Tullo from Molise region

Perhaps any readers from Italy or France can add to that or clarify/correct the list.

Do Netherland's deal or no deal had a contestant that had 5,000,000 euros in his case? I wonder if this is the case he may have blown the chance to become the biggest winner in the entire deal or no deal history!!!!

Found a video with a tidbit of Roberto Pepi who was apparently the first winner of the €500,000 in Affari Tuoi.

http://www.striscialanotizia.mediaset.it/video/2004/11/23/video_349.shtml?adsl

That said, he *did* swap his original box #17, to #7 at some point in his game, and the #7 was indeed lucky #7 for him.

I am not sure about the other winners of the €500,000 if they did bring it out themselves, or if they did swap for it at some point.

Indeed it was, though it was fairly obvious from early on that she had a huge sum in her box. Still, very brave and got the rewards for it.
