It's Sunday night, and that means it's time for yet another Le Banquier recap. This time, we open the episode in the vault with Julie and our contestant for the evening, 21-year-old Frédéric-Alexandre Michaud of Rimouski. He's currently studying towards a music degree at McGill University in Montreal, and hopes to lead an orchestra someday, much like his idol, Maestro Kent Nagano of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (MSO).

After a short performance from Maestro Nagano and the MSO, the 26 members of the MSO then became the case holders, while Nagano was seated on a throne like a king. Fred then opts for case 25, and the game begins.

Round 1
[12] - Surprise / $75 - The Surprise is $10,000 from National Bank to help Fred live out his dream of leading an orchestra.
[14] - $50,000
[2] - $50
[10] - $500,000 - The strangest thing about this is that Julie, the contestant, and virtually everyone else acted like nothing happened when the half-mill was revealed.
[21] - $200
[13] - $0.01

BANKER'S OFFER

$39,000

Fred says REFUSÉE.

Round 2
[22] - $100
[6] - $25,000
[24] - $1,000
[8] - $175,000
[4] - $5

BANKER'S OFFER

$51,000

Fred says REFUSÉE.

Round 3
[17] - $150,000
[26] - $300,000
[7] - $750
[20] - $10

BANKER'S OFFER

$59,000

Fred says REFUSÉE.

Round 4
[5] - $1
[16] - $125,000
[1] - $200,000

BANKER'S OFFER

$61,000

Fred says REFUSÉE.

Round 5
[19] - $400,000 - The most Fred can take home now is $100,000. Cue massive drop in the next offer.
[23] - Vidéotron Mobile

As expected, the offer plummeted.

BANKER'S OFFER

$25,000

Realizing that he should probably get out of the game, Fred decided to play his defeatist card and say ACCEPTÉE, leaving the $8,000 Sunwing vacation unclaimed.

In the proveout rounds, the offers got as high as $45,000 before the $100,000 was eliminated on Fred's final selection, leaving a final two of $20 and $400. The $400 was in Fred's case, while the $20 was in case 9.

But the evening ends on a high note for Fred, as he is presented with a brand-new violin. He strikes a chord to the tune of $69,000 in cash and stuff.

Join me again next week as Le Banquier celebrates Halloween with more celebrity case holders and the most expensive game of Guess Who ever devised. Until then, good night, and good deals.
