Take me out to Le Banquier, take me out with the crowd.
Open some cases and win some cash, I don't care if we're back in a flash.
Let me root, root, root for the player,
If he falls flat, I'll berate.
For it's one, two, three strikes you're out
On a baseball-themed Le Banquier!
Yes, we're heading off to the ballpark today for a Montreal Expos-themed episode of Le Banquier. The Expos, for those who don't know, were a Major League Baseball team that played in Montreal from 1969 until 2004. After 2004, they relocated to Washington, DC and became the Washington Nationals.
Memories of the team and its glory days are fresh in the mind of 60-year-old Expos superfan Robert Larose, our contestant for the evening. Julie and friends went to great lengths to play up Robert's love the the team, as the floor of the set is decorated like a baseball diamond, and a combination of regular models and former Expos players are holding the cases.
Robert steps up the plate and selects case 8, in honour of the late Gary Carter, a Hall of Fame catcher who played for the Expos. This case was held by #37, Bill "Spaceman" Lee (LHP).
And without further ado, let's play ball!

There is only one amount, $150,000, left on the right side of the board as this point. Knocking it out would mean the most Robert could leave with would be only $100, with $1 and $5 as backups. With this in mind, the Banker throws Robert a lifeline.
Robert says
ACCEPTÉE.
Did Robert hit a home run, or was he tagged out at home plate? There's only one way to find out.
Proveout
Round 8[20] -
$150,000 - Looks like Robert is safe at home
. Phew!
Julie then opens case 8 to reveal
$100. The
$1 was in case 15, which was held by #46, Dave Palmer (RHP), while the
$5 was in case 21.
Robert hit a home run to the tune of
$81,000 in cash and stuff tonight. Not a bad haul at all.
Next week, we will be treated to the Cash Symphony in D Minor, and I'll have your recap. Until then, good night, and good deals.
