Welcome to Halloween on Le Banquier. We've got costumes, cases, sponsors and handouts galore awaiting tonight's contestant. Julie Snyder enters the set in a skeleton dress, and our contestant ups the ante in an elaborate ice queen costume.
Underneath all that makeup and stuff is 26-year-old Jessica Desbiens of Pointe-Fortune, Quebec. She's a married mother of two who is currently on maternity leave from her job. An avid photographer, she's looking to get some better equipment to practice her hobby, among other things.
The show's regular models, which again, have apparently been given their walking papers, are replaced with 26 costumed celebrities. Jessica will earn
$500 for each one that either she or Julie correctly identifies (represented by a blue check mark below). She earns her first 500 bucks (
✓) by identifying the holder of case 13, which she picks to begin the game.

$3,000 worth of photography equipment, plus private photography lessons with Julie Pelletier, making the prize package worth
$5,000. Also, Jessica picks up another
$500 for correctly identifying Julie P.'s costume (

Taking out $850,000 in a single round is sure to have a negative effect on the offer, though.

Ouch, that has to hurt. The next offer will likely drop significantly.

The costume guessing game continues, despite the offer being accepted.

Had Jessica played on, she'd have faced a final two of
$50,000 and
$200,000. Julie opens case 13 to reveal
$50,000. Case 20 held the
$200,000.
For those keeping track, Jessica correctly identified 15 of the 26 celebrities, so she wins a
$7,500 bonus. Combined with the value of her deal, the Capital One bonus, and the gratuitous handouts, Jessica will return to Pointe-Fortune with
$111,500 in cash and stuff. Not a bad haul at all.
Next week, the cases resemble old-school TV sets. I wonder what that's all about. Come back next week to find out. Until then, merci, et bonne soirée.
