So, after one of the worst Deals in UK Deal or No Deal history, what will happen across the pond on Affari Tuoi?

Contestant: Tommasa with Box 15

1- Tutu  (joke prize replacing €0.01)

19- LA MATTA

She chooses the scroll that contains CI PENSO IO (translated I will), another new potential outcome for La Matta this season. The guy who opened the scroll, Stephano, must now choose the next three boxes.

16- €500,000 :(

9- €75,000

Flavio brings out a giant horseshoe for luck.

5- PACHITOS

The game is now back in Tommasa's control.

2- €0.20

BANKER'S OFFER

€26,000

No shocked face from me as an opening offer that generous is fairly common in Affari Tuoi. At roughly 75% of the average, though, that offer would see an ACB-shaped hole in the wall.

Tommasa says:

Rifiuto

14- REGISTRO (joke prize replacing €1)

10- CASSATEDDI (joke prize replacing €10)

11- €100,000 :(

BANKER'S OFFER

CAMBIO (SWAP) OR OFFER

Tommasa says:

Offerta

BANKER'S OFFER

€23,000

Tommasa says:

Rifiuto

18- €5

12- €30,000

20- €100

A dance ensues.

Board:
€0.50
€50

€5,000
€10,000
€20,000

PACCO X
€50,000
€250,000

BANKER'S OFFER

€36,000

Stipulation: She only has to open two boxes if she goes on.

With that offer being 79% of the average, I'd definitely be gone at this point if I somehow got talked out of dealing the opening offer.

Tommasa says:

Rifiuto

She seems to be what Simon F calls a "gambling old lady."

8- PACCO X

It was worth €3 today. :D

6- €5,000

BANKER'S OFFER

CAMBIO

Stipulation: She only has to open two more boxes before she gets another offer.

Tommasa says:

Rifiuto

3- €0.50

4- €50

Tommasa is now guaranteed €10,000. :D

BANKER'S OFFER

€75,000

Stipulation: She only has to open 1 more box if she declines this.

Tommasa says:

Accetto :smt023

Tommasa is now the 2nd biggest winner this season. Did she do a good Deal though? Did the Banker make ridiculously generous offers because he knew Tommasa had the €250,000? The prove-out answers all.

13- €50,000

The offer almost certainly wouldn't have gone up much here.

7- €10,000

She probably would've been offered six figures here.

Tommasa's Box 15 is opened to reveal
€250,000 :(

Box 17 contained the €20,000

Game Summary:

Peak offer: Something between €75,000 and €135,000
Box value: €250,000
Prize won: €75,000
Result: Outright Banker Win

Tommasa may have not done the best Deal, but she still leaves with a life-changing sum of money, a luxury that very few UK contestants who sell the £250,000 have.

I like this version, and you're recapping it like a boss. Well done :smt023.

Wait 'til you see what happens at the end of a terrible game. It involves repeated chanting of the word "dumbaz" (pronounced doom-buzz).

I have several Italian friends, and they use this word frequently. The worst is when their nonno or nonna calls them a dumbaz. That really stings.

Yes, I got into this a bit last year, it's an interesting, higher-stakes variant on the UK version, not without its controversy - the chap that won 500,000 euros the other year had averted THREE trainwrecks via getting 'arrivederci' from the Twist box (sending him back to the wings to be replaced by another contestant!)

Can't get my stream to work these days, which is a bit of a shame... :x

EDIT: Also, I saw an opening offer of 250%+ of the average turned down once!
