What is it with all the contestants leaving without playing? It was really rare on the old show. Is it down to filming schedule? Perhaps given the limited run this time, they were less keen to hang around when they knew they wouldn’t be playing?

I hope those who didn’t get their games this time come back, anyway, especially those there from the start…

I assume Zoe, Johnny (one of the original 22) and Paisley, who left without playing, have forfeited their chance to play if there's a second series. They may be allowed back if they had a family emergency or illness though.

I feel a bit sorry for Orla, Brian and Myles who were part of the original 22 but still don't know if/when they'll get to play. (There were four originals who didn't play because Stevie and Jane W played but weren't part of the originals.) Having said that, they'd have applied knowing there was a chance this would happen.
