There has been a huge debate raging on in my household. Maybe someone could help settle the argument.

I know the show is pre-recorded. (One only has to put on subtitles, and one will notice that the subtitles appear before people on the show speak). However, I believe that each show is recorded on the day Noel says it is (e.g. welcome to Wednesday's show).

My brother and dad are mocking me. They say that the overheads of recording a show every day are too great, and that they record four or five shows a day, and just pretend that each show is recorded on a new day. I disagree! I notice that the clothes and even hairstyles change. My brother and dad put this down to make-up artists!

Someone please help settle this debate!!!

The shows are recorded in advance and they record 3 shows a day. Check out the C4 web site transcript of Noels web Chat, he says it in there.

Hi, as an ex-contestant i can confirm they record 3 a day. We started filming at about 2.15pm and finished the last one at about 10pm. I hope this helps. Any questions - fire away

That seems a late start and finish for the filming, is there any particular reason for the late start?

I would have thought they would have had more 'normal' hours, perhaps a show in the morning and then 2 in the afternoon/early evening.

Each one takes about an hour and a half though. I had heard from another ex-contestant on Digital Spy (I think) that there was one morning and two afternoon/evening ones.

So do they make you get changed between every show?

yes you get changed inbetween shows , the men it was mainly just your top , then into make up , you get fed between shows as well, its right what james says it all starts about 2.30 but you get picked up from hotel about 11oclock in the morning, then get back to hotel about 10.30 on the night

it just goes to sure there is no sytem to beat the banker unless you have a large number in your box and your luck is in to try and leave the big money out there, my hart went out to geoirde, just think any other time that system might work , but has he says its a game , and life goes on , thats the attitude to take , enjoy it while your there,
