I've just become aware of this game from March 2015. If that'd happened in the 'golden' era, it'd be part of folklore. The chances of a 12-box board like that, with everything but two values above £500 eliminated? It's pushing a 10,000 to 1 shot.

His next box was £500 and an 11-box with the nine lowest blues still in play is not so unlikely... 9,044 to 1.
