And so it looks like DoND is set to finally end its run for good in a few weeks and will be gone before Christmas. The show has been in the pipeline to end for at least the last 12 months, and it's been sort of common knowledge that DoND was on its way out since probably mid-2015 (and it only took until just a couple of months ago for there to be cold confirmation of DoND being on it's final legs
)
But what i don't get is why they've been trying to stretch out the show's final run as much as possible. From early 2015 onwards, they began taking more and more breaks due to horse-racing telecasts, then quietly went off to an almost-3 month break, then finally came back in late September, and it was the same procedure - No weekend shows and frequent breaks because of horse-racing, and then this year, they went off to a 6 month+ plus break in April and returned only a couple of weeks ago
Bottom line is, we've been expecting the end of DoND to come for at least the last 12 months, and admit it, this time last year, we all thought there was ZERO chance of the show making the 11th anniversary, yet tomorrow is 11 years since the show began, yet it's still barely clinging to life. When DoND was off from Early April to Mid-October this year, it got to the stage where i thought that they might just stop there and forget about it, so how come they're still dragging it out like this
