What would you do if you had £100,000 and £250,000 left and the banker offered you £175,000

Hey James ---- love the sig  Welcome :-D

And just for the record ........ I would like to think I would risk it and go for the 250 because 100 grand is a life changing amount anyway !! But who knows what happens in your head when you are under that amount of pressure :?

Imagine you had won £175,000 (on any gameshow, if you like) and had taken that money home and put it in your bank account (though not spent any yet).

Then someone offers to toss a coin with you for £75,000. Would you accept that bet?

But then again I suppose you can't put a price on glory! I think I would go for it with an offer of £165,000 or less.

Very well put bushy ................ if I thought about it that way then there is no way I could gamble away 75,000 ---- especially since the fame and glory mean nothing.

I would hope in that situation the banker would give a lower offer like £130,000 to encourage the contestant to continue. But I probably would deal at £175,000.

100k is still life changing so I would probably play on in that situation.

:welcome: James

Hope you enjoy it here.

I would gamble to try for the £250,000 - I've gone there with nothing and can still come away with £100,000.

I'll be labelled greedy now by everyone (waiting for the torrents of abuse :-D )

No not greedy at all in my opininon Kestral ! Thats what the game is waiting for - someone with the courage to risk it all to win the top prize. I'd like to think that I would have the courage to do so if it were the dream scenario of 100 vs 250 ........ but it would take a lot of thinking !!

Or maybe a fast decision would be better "NoDeal and No Swap Noel ...... Do it do it do it NOW !!! " he he he, but then I've got annoyed with past contestants for being rude to Noel unnecessarily !!
