Does anyone know which position on the wings has given the players the biggest average in winnings? Also which is the worst position?

Mister Al posted some stats on this a while back...I think the highest-winning position was W7, where Julie currently stands, and the lowest was E6, where Daniel is. But obviously as this was a while ago, it could have all changed since then. I'd imagine E4 (Peg) is pretty high up there - as if Mally, Brenda, Buddy and Lynne weren't enough, it created the first £250k winner!

Yep, I did this ages ago here. As you can see if you take a look at that post, I originally defined the position to be the Wing (W for West, E for East), followed by the distance from the centre board. So that's how I set up my spreadsheet and I'm not going to change hundreds of records just because some people are defining it differently! So, for example then, in my parlance position W11 is currently occupied by Leanne, W01 by that Bunney fella, E01 by Elton and E11 by Jane.

AVERAGE AMOUNT WON BY WING (games 1 to 361, excepting game 312)
West Wing: £17,101.97
East Wing: £16,470.59

AVERAGE AMOUNT WON BY POSITION (games 1 to 361, excepting game 312)
E04: £35,617.83
W05: £21,467.71
W11: £20,865.59
W04: £20,701.12
E08: £19,368.81
W03: £18,876.67
W10: £18,741.44
E03: £18,187.89
E07: £17,533.25
W09: £16,307.12
W01: £16,242.87
W08: £16,138.88
E02: £14,754.67
W07: £14,460.07
E09: £13,772.06
W06: £13,607.13
E05: £13,472.07
E01: £13,182.86
E10: £10,962.56
E11: £10,808.88
E06: £10,756.88
W02: £9778.25

The average amount won overall for this set of games is £16,779.27.

Obviously Laura's win has made E04 the position to beat there. Interestingly, E08 (formerly known as "the gambler's position") has shot up the chart since more cautious players have inhabited it. Ashley, anniversary David and Wrighty have all done Deals and taken nice money away with them. Today though, Stuart went to the end and we all saw what heppened there...

(This is probably more appropriate for the stats forum.)

Aw, E11 is near the bottom...E11 *beep* rocks. When I first saw this thread title I thought it was going to be about the best positions in terms of the players who stood there, and I was ready to write a big essay about how awesome E11 is. (I was also initially furious that W2 was losing before realising that that's what I think of as W10...I'm fairly happy to let that one lose.) Thanks for the stats Mister Al!

Did you even bother reading the post? By "W02", Mister Al means the position near the board where Sarah B currently stands...not the one Steph was in. That would be W10 by his method, which is actually quite high up the list.
