I didn't know his wife was having twins, how lovely and sensible names too :D

Congratulations to all :D

An absolutely massive match for Andy Murray tonight!

If he beats Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, he becomes the brand new World Number Two!

He had to win the Final if Nadal also made it...but Nadal was knocked out last night...so Murray simply needs to reach the Final now...

I'm struggling to watch the Twenty20 finals and Murray at the same time.. much flicking involved.

Well for anyone who hasn't seen the news, Murray finished Tsonga off in a second set tiebreak last night! He will officially become the World Number Two tomorrow morning, regardless of whether or not he can beat Del Potro in tonight's Final!

Though it goes without saying, a tournament win would see him steadily close in on old Fed!

Well for anyone who is interested, Murray and Del Potro are currently into a deciding set in the Final...luckily Murray is a break of serve upl 4-2 ahead and serving to be within one game of his first hard court title this year!

He's done it!

Congrats to the lad! He'll now be the second seed at this year's US Open, which starts on Bank Holiday Monday! :D

Well here are those all-important changes to the ATP Top 10:

1. Roger Federer (SUI) - 11040 pts
2. Andy Murray (GBR) - 9250 pts
3. Rafael Nadal (ESP) - 8665 pts
4. Novak Djokovic (SRB) - 7150 pts
5. Andy Roddick (USA) - 5800 pts
6. Juan Martin Del Potro (ARG) - 5405 pts
7. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) - 3960 pts
8. Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) - 3655 pts
9. Gilles Simon (FRA) - 3320 pts
10. Fernando Verdasco (ESP) - 3185 pts

Murray could really strengthen his grip on the second ranking by defending his title at the Cincinnati Masters this week...then it's the biggie; the US Open!

Murray's in BIG trouble against Cilic in the fourth round of the US Open!

He's currently a set, and TWO breaks of serve down!

And it's all over! Murray is out!

He was simply outclassed...it finished 5-7 2-6 2-6 to Cilic...the wait for his maiden Grand Slam will at least continue to January...

...not only that but Nadal now has the freedom to play catch-up in the world rankings...winning the tournament, or indeed reaching the Final will see him pretty much overtake Murray...

Here's the line-up for the latest stages of the US Open...

Men's Singles Quarter-Finals:
Roger Federer (1) v Robin Soderling (12)
Novak Djokovic (4) v Fernando Verdasco (10)
Fernando Gonzalez (11) v Rafael Nadal (3)
Juan Martin del Potro (6) v Marin Cilic (16)

Women's Singles Quarter Finals:
Yanina Wickmayer v Kateryna Bondarenko
Melanie Oudin v Caroline Wozniacki (9)

Semi-Finals:
Yanina Wickmayer/Kateryna Bondarenko v Melanie Oudin/Caroline Wozniacki (9)
Kim Clijsters v Serena Williams (2)

Must be said, that Clijsters v Williams match is going to be an absolute belter!

Here's the Semi-Final draws...

Men's Singles Semi-Finals:
Roger Federer (1) v Novak Djokovic (4)
Rafael Nadal (3) v Juan Martin del Potro (6)

Women's Singles Semi-Finals:
Yanina Wickmayer v Caroline Wozniacki (9)
Kim Clijsters v Serena Williams (2)

Well done to Nadal for reclaiming the World Number Two ranking in no time at all...but I'm not expecting him to reach the Final; my pre-tournament prediction of a Federer v Del Potro Final is still my tip!

Federer v Nadal and Wozniacki v Williams for me - Del Potro is somewhat overrated IMO.

Wozniacki v Clijsters in the Final...Clijsters' return to tennis could become fairytale if she wins the US Open tomorrow...the first mother to do so since 1980!

Williams was beaten in a VERY nasty way though...at 15-30 down she was VERY harshly judged a foot fault, giving Clijsters match point, and leading her to start swearing at the umpire...and bearing in mind she had already been warned earlier in the tournament for smashing her raquet, she was given a points penalty, thus giving Clijsters the victory!

Elsewhere, there is a Brit in the Girls Singles Final...but it isn't Robson :(

Men's Semis today...

And sorry Greeny, I called it! Del Potro is in the Final!

Some British glory though...Heather Watson has just become Girls Singles Champion! :D

Incredible news for Kim Clijsters as she won the Women's Singles Final! WHAT a return to tennis for her! :D

Meanwhile, albeit a day late due to the rain on Friday, it is indeed a Federer v Del Potro final today...and surely you'd be crazy to bet against the best tennis player ever to win this! Federer to win in four sets methinks; Del Potro to snatch one from a tie-break

Who is Del Potro? The reason I said he was overrated is I've never heard or seen him before, at Wimbledon or any other tournament (and I watch Wimbledon religously).

He's fairly recent on the world-class stage...he's a brilliant player, just a bit short on the stamina to go one-on-one with the Federers and Nadals yet...
